What is the problem with thick semen?

The coagulation of semen is caused by the production of coagulation proteins by the seminal vesicles, while the liquefaction is the result of the action of a series of proteolytic enzymes, namely liquefaction factors, secreted by the prostate. Therefore, inflammation of the prostate and seminal vesicles will cause their secretion function to be disordered, which will increase the coagulation factors of semen or reduce the liquefaction factors, resulting in the failure of semen to liquefy.

Treatment

1. Mechanical dilution: Put the semen into a high-pressure syringe, inject it into a glass container through a needle, and then pour the semen in the container back into the high-pressure syringe. Repeat this injection 5 times, and the semen will be similar to liquid without damaging the sperm. Use this diluted semen for artificial insemination to achieve fertility.

2. Mucolytic treatment: Use appropriate drugs to mix semen with mucolytics for artificial insemination, or inject the drug into the vagina before sexual intercourse so that it comes into contact with semen and becomes thinner.
