Is orchitis easy to cure?

Orchitis is common among men. In most cases, there will be persistent high fever and testicular pain, which will affect normal work and life. Since the disease may gradually endanger fertility, the choice of treatment becomes extremely important. So what methods can patients generally use to recover? Let's learn about it with the editor.

1. Treatment of bacterial orchitis: Usually procaine penicillin, 800,000 units each time, twice a day, intramuscular injection. Or gentamicin, 80,000 units each time, twice a day, intramuscular injection, for 5-7 days. After the inflammation is under control, oral antibacterial drugs such as pyroptosis, cotrimoxazole or ofloxacin are used. If the epididymal inflammatory mass increases, the scrotal skin is red and swollen with a sense of fluctuation, and abscesses are formed, incision and drainage must be performed. If the disease is caused by indwelling urinary catheters, the catheters should be removed.

2. Chinese medicine health care: The treatment principle is to clear away heat and detoxify, eliminate liver fire, relieve pain and reduce inflammation, etc. The drugs include Gentiana, Bupleurum, Phellodendron, Scutellaria, Plantago, and Lycium. If it is viral orchitis, you can use Chinese medicines such as Yinhua, Lianshao, Isatis, Scrophularia, Taraxacum, Indigo, Lycium barbarum, and Angelica. Or use the Chinese medicine preparation Isatis injection 2 ml each time, 1-2 times a day, intramuscular injection.

3. External medication: Apply adzuki bean powder and duck egg white to the scrotum, or mix Huang Ruyi powder with vinegar and apply it to the scrotum, 1-2 times a day, which can relieve pain and help testicular swelling. At the same time, you need to rest in bed, support the scrotum, apply local hot compresses and physical therapy, and inject 1% lidocaine to reduce pain. If abscesses form, drainage should be performed by incision.

This article introduces a variety of treatment options, and each one is described in great detail. Patients can choose the treatment that suits their condition after examination, and then persist until the lesions are cleared. At the same time, they should temporarily avoid sexual intercourse and wash the testicles with warm water every day to prevent the disease from recurring.
