Selective impairment

Selective impairment

The main feature of the selective disorder is the difficulty in rejecting choices when faced with different methods, paths or routes to achieve the same goal, just like making a decision whether other options are better, which leads to a waste of time and energy. The selective disorder is generally reflected in daily life. For example, when women go shopping, the same style or different colors of clothes will cause them to like or be unable to make up their minds about this choice.

It is mainly a selective and pathological pursuit of perfection. When doing anything, one wants to achieve perfection. Therefore, in daily life, whether it is food, accommodation or transportation, it will cause some selective obstacles, which makes the choices in life more painful.

The so-called selective barrier is the difficulty in choosing between different methods, ways, and routes that can achieve the same goal. Even after making a decision, one still doubts whether other options are better, which leads to a waste of time and mental anxiety.

Performance

Selective disorder is usually manifested in daily life, such as when women go shopping, they like the same style of clothes in different colors, but they can't bear to part with that one, which makes them indecisive and tangled. After finally choosing one, they have to keep asking others whether it is suitable for them. If others' answer is no, it will aggravate this distress. For example, standing at an intersection, there are two routes to the destination, but they are hesitant in choosing, always muttering which way to go, even after walking dozens of meters, they may turn around and take another way. These are all manifestations of selective disorder.

Analysis and prevention

Selective disorder stems from a morbid pursuit of perfection, wanting to achieve perfection in everything and leaving no regrets. This mentality should be taken seriously by contemporary people. If the disease is allowed to develop, it will lead to lack of concentration, affect sleep, feel depressed, and be in a trance, all of which are precursors to depression.

The above is an introduction to selective dysphoria and some common symptoms. If the disorder develops, it will lead to other types of patient conditions, mainly mental inattention, sleep problems, and stress. This is usually reflected in daily life, such as when a woman goes shopping, she may like the same style of clothes in different colors, but she may not like that one, which makes her indecisive and tangled.
