Causes of right upper abdominal pain in men

Causes of right upper abdominal pain in men

Abdominal pain is a common and complicated symptom. The right lower abdomen refers to the right side of the abdomen that is level with the belly button. This area contains waist and abdominal muscles, ascending colon, colon, urethra, kidney function, cecum, coccyx at the root of cecum, pelvis and other human organs. If the right lower abdomen hurts, it is mostly due to problems with the above organs or tissues.

1. Everything is normal

Men experience dull pain on the right side of the abdomen after a lot of exercise. This pain is not a disease, but a normal condition, which will gradually recover after a proper rest. Therefore, there is no need to worry. At the same time, authoritative experts also remind many men to exercise in moderation.

2. Appendicitis

The most common disease causing right lower abdominal pain in men is appendicitis.

Hemostatic acute appendicitis

Typical acute appendicitis has mid-upper abdominal or peri-umbilical pain in the early stage, and after a few hours, the abdominal pain migrates and becomes fixed in the right lower abdomen. When the inflammation spreads to the serous layer and retroperitoneum, the pain becomes fixed in the right lower abdomen, and the original mid-upper abdominal or peri-umbilical pain is relieved or disappears. Therefore, acute appendicitis cannot be excluded if there is no typical history of right lower abdominal pain due to metastatic cancer.

Simple appendicitis often presents with paroxysmal or persistent increasing pain and dull pain. Persistent severe pain usually indicates suppurative or gangrenous appendicitis. Persistent severe pain spreads to the middle and lower abdomen or both sides of the lower abdomen, often with signs of appendicitis rupture.

Blood chronic appendicitis

Abdominal pain is pain in the right lower abdomen, which is characterized by intermittent dull pain or rising pain, sometimes deep and sometimes light, and the location is relatively fixed. Most patients experience abdominal pain after overeating, exercise, fatigue, coldness, and standing for a long time. Tenderness is the only clinical symptom, mainly located in the right lower abdomen, usually with a small range and stable location, and can only appear when pressure is applied. There is no muscle anxiety and rebound pain, and generally no abdominal mass.

Patients often experience mild or severe indigestion and decreased appetite. Elderly patients may experience emaciation and weight loss. Generally, there is no nausea, vomiting, or abdominal distension, but elderly patients may be accompanied by constipation.

3. Prostate disease

After clinical medical confirmation, right abdominal pain caused by prostatitis is very common in clinical medicine. Patients should receive targeted treatment according to their condition. If the following symptoms occur, it is basically male prostate.

Abnormal urination due to blood pressure, initially there is discomfort when urinating, a feeling of incessant urination, or a burning sensation, frequent urination, urgency, inability to hold urine, urinary pain and itching, etc. A very small number of patients find that there is secretion sticking to the external opening of the urethra in the morning, and the residual urine after urination continues to wet the clothes and pants.

Blood local or general pain, usually swelling and cramping, radiating to the glans penis and vulva, can cause pain in the lumbar sacral region, hip, vulva, supraphaelial region and abdomen, sometimes radiating to the male testicles and groin.

Replenish neurasthenia, the main symptoms of which are frequent dreams, anxiety, restlessness, etc.

Serious erectile dysfunction is mainly manifested by low libido, erectile dysfunction, premature ejaculation, nocturnal emissions, infertility, etc.

4. Ulcer rupture

Sudden severe upper abdominal pain is a typical symptom, and other symptoms include abdominal distension, nausea, vomiting, fever, etc. More severe cases may even cause more serious peritonitis.
