Standard weight calculation formula for men

The BMI index (Body Mass Index, commonly known as BMI) is a number calculated by dividing the weight in kg by the height in meters. It is an internationally common standard for measuring body fatness and health. When we need to compare and analyze the health effects of a person's weight on people of different heights and widths, the BMI value is a neutral and reliable indicator.

Internationally accepted method for calculating human weight and body proportions:

Weight standard (male) = (height cm-100) x 0.9 (kg)

Normal weight: standard weight +- (how much) 10%.

Overload: 10% above the weight standard and 20% below the weight standard.

Mild obesity: 20% above the standard weight and 30% below the standard weight.

Mild to moderate obesity: 30% above the standard weight and 50% below the standard weight.

Moderate to severe obesity: more than 50% over the standard body weight

Standard fat percentage: Body mass index BMI = resting weight (kg) / {height * height (m)}

The table above is just for reference. For people who exercise and keep fit, this table still has a lot of deviations. In fact, the body mass index (BMI) is now used all over the world to measure whether a person is fat or not.

The actual calculation method is:

BMI = body weight (kg) / height (m) square meters

For example: a girl is 1.7 meters tall and weighs 65 kg, her BMI is 65/(1.7*1.7)=22.5

International standards: BMI is within the normal range of 18.5-24.9, BMI over 25 is overloaded, and BMI over 30 is obesity.

But it is the standard for other Westerners. We Chinese belong to the Asian race, so the normal range of body mass index is lower than the standard. Some authoritative experts suggest that the standard value of body mass index for Chinese people should be 20-22. BMI over 22.6 is overloaded, and BMI over 30 is obese.

The formula for us Chinese people who are divided into north and south regions is:

Ideal weight for people in Northeast China (kg) = [height (cm) - 150] Specificity 0.6 50;

Ideal weight for northerners (kg) = [height (cm) - 150] Specificity 0.6 48
