Most of the time, female chest pain may be related to breast disease, but what if a man has chest pain on the left and then on the right?

1. Chest pain that occurs on the left side and on the right side at different locations is often caused by lesions in the chest organs. The treatment measures should first identify the specific cause of the chest pain, whether it is caused by staying up late or getting angry, and then take corresponding treatment. Chest pain with an irregular location: 1. First rule out heart diseases, such as myocardial ischemia, myocarditis, coronary heart disease, angina, myocardial infarction, etc. You can do an electrocardiogram, cardiac color ultrasound, and cardiac angiography when necessary. Standardized treatment by a cardiologist is required. 2. Identify lesions in the thoracic spine and spinal nerves, such as intervertebral disc herniation, intercostal neuralgia, costochondritis, herpes zoster, etc. These can be treated with massage, local hot compress, physical therapy, and antiviral treatment when necessary.

2. If a man has chest pain on both sides, consider the possibility of pleurisy and chest wall infection. This disease has no fixed pain point. It is common on both sides of the chest, accompanied by cough and sputum. The sputum is clear and foamy, and sometimes there is an irritating dry cough. The main causes are cold, weather changes, and lung infection. This disease needs to be confirmed under chest CT. At the same time, sputum culture examination is performed to understand the possibility of lung infection. If the left and right chest pain is accompanied by chest tightness, heart problems should be ruled out.

3. There are many reasons for pain above the left chest, the most common of which are the following five. First, chest wall muscle spasm, the main feature is local tenderness, when the body position changes and causes chest movement, that is, deep breathing, the pain can be aggravated, and it can also manifest as tingling, spasmodic pain, etc. The reasons are all due to long-term incorrect posture, bending over the desk, vigorous exercise, local cold, etc., which cause chest wall muscle fatigue and spasm. It is very common for computer workers to suffer from chest pain. Second, chest pain caused by heart reasons, the most common is angina, which is paroxysmal and severe, mostly located in the precordial area, rarely above the heart, and there is no local tenderness. Third, rib disease, the most common is costochondritis, which occurs in the 2nd to 4th rib cartilage of the upper chest. There may be local thickening, swelling, pain, and tenderness, but there is no redness or swelling in the local skin. Fourth, intercostal neuralgia, the pain is often distributed along the intercostal space, in the mid-axillary line, beside the spine, and beside the sternum, with obvious tingling or burning pain. Turning over and taking a deep breath, coughing can make it worse. Fifth, pleuritic chest pain, the pain is mostly in the armpit or near the mid-axillary line, often accompanied by low fever, cough, shallow and rapid breathing, etc.
