Left varicocele is a common disease, mainly occurring in middle-aged people. Because of their work, middle-aged people often sit or stand for long periods of time, which can cause long-term compression of the spermatic cord and form varicocele symptoms. Varicose cord varicocele refers to the appearance of skin swelling and venous swelling in the testicles, which causes testicular atrophy and sperm production, and in severe cases can cause male infertility. Varicose veins occur in 10% of young men aged 15 to 30. 90% of cases occur on the left side, due to blood congestion in the spermatic vein, which causes the venous plexus to dilate, become tortuous, and become longer. Varicose veins can also be caused by kidney tumors. Varicose veins deserve attention because they may be accompanied by testicular atrophy and sperm production disorders, leading to infertility. Incidence Varicose vein dilation, curvature, and elongation are called varicocele. It is more common in young people, usually between the ages of 15 and 30. Varicose vein varicocele usually occurs on the left side, about 78% to 93%, and on the right side, 1% to 7%. About 2% to 20% of cases have both sides at the same time. Type 1. Damp-heat descending type: The scrotum is slightly red, with blue veins exposed like earthworms, the spermatic cord is thickened and swollen, there is burning pain accompanied by sticky and uncomfortable stools, yellow and greasy tongue coating, and a stringy and slippery pulse. 2. Blood stasis and obstruction type: The spermatic vein is twisted into a ball, the blue veins are exposed, the scrotum is bulging, the dull pain persists and worsens with labor, there are ecchymosis on the tongue, and the pulse is deep and thin. 3. Qi deficiency and sunken type: scrotum swells, worsens with work and relieved with rest, fatigue, poor appetite, pale and fat tongue, and slow pulse. 4. Cold stagnation and protruding penis type: scrotal prolapse, testicular cramps, pain in the lower abdomen and perineum, aggravated by standing and relieved by lying down, soreness of waist and knees, fear of cold and cold limbs, pale tongue with white coating, and deep and thready pulse. 5. Liver-Qi Stagnation Type: The scrotum is painful when it falls or rises, with blue veins exposed, resembling an earthworm. Most of the time, there are emotional changes, the tongue is dark red with a thin white coating, and the pulse is stringy. Cause 1. The left internal spermatic vein is long and enters the renal vein at a right angle, so blood flow is subject to a certain resistance. The left internal spermatic vein near the left renal vein has no valve, so blood can easily flow back. 2. The left internal spermatic vein is located behind the sigmoid colon and is easily compressed by intestinal feces, which affects blood return. Causes 1. The temperature is too high and the heat dissipation is poor. 2. Congenital left spermatic vein valvular insufficiency. Congenital left spermatic vein valvular insufficiency can cause blood stagnation in the left spermatic vein. 3. Blood stasis and testicle damage. 4. Damage to the interstitial cells of the testicles. |
