A few red pimples on the face may be a symptom of genital warts, or it may be eczema or genital herpes. These symptoms are mainly caused by bacterial or viral infections, and men need to be treated immediately. Condyloma acuminatum is caused by a sexually transmitted disease, which spreads quickly, and the incidence of genital warts is very high, so everyone needs to do relevant prevention work in normal times. What are the common pimples on the penis? 1. Condyloma acuminatum It is a sexually transmitted disease caused by human papillomavirus (HPV). 90% of cases are transmitted through sexual intercourse. The incubation period (from infection to onset) is 3 weeks to 8 months. It starts as a flesh-colored or pink papillary swelling, which gradually increases in size to a cauliflower or cockscomb shape. When acetic acid (or white vinegar) is applied, it turns white after 3-5 minutes. It is painless and itchy. It is easy to relapse. 2. Pearly papules Also known as penile pearly papules, it is more common in people with prepuce hyperplasia and can exist for a long time. Currently, most scholars believe that this is a normal physiological variation that will not affect health and will not be infected or spread through sexual intercourse. 3. Genital herpes It is mainly a sexually transmitted disease caused by herpes simplex virus (HSV) type II. The incubation period is 2-10 days. It is prone to occur at the junction of the skin and mucous membranes of the male genitals. Generally, the affected area first has erythema and burning sensation, and soon 3-10 "needle-sized, clustered" small blisters will appear on the basis of the erythema, accompanied by itching. After 3-5 days, it will become abscesses, and after rupture, it will form erosions and ulcers, which will cause spontaneous pain and finally heal with scabs. The whole course of the disease can last about 10-20 days, but it will recur. 4. Sebaceous gland ectopy It is a sebaceous gland disease caused by physiological changes in the development of sebaceous glands and sebaceous gland hyperplasia. In addition to the oral mucosa, it is also common in the foreskin and glans of men, and the labia majora and minora of women. It often occurs after puberty and is more common in middle-aged people. The lesions in this area are characterized by millet-sized flat papule-like lesions without obvious raised skin, which are distributed in clusters. The lesions are mostly asymptomatic and generally do not require treatment. 5. Balanitis Balanitis refers to inflammation of the inner plate of the foreskin and the glans penis, with local redness, itching or pain, and edema. It is divided into simple and infectious types. A lipid substance secreted in the normal foreskin cavity can accumulate into smegma to irritate the foreskin and glans penis when the foreskin is too long or phimosis occurs, causing balanitis, which is called simple or non-infectious balanitis. Infectious balanitis can be caused by bacterial or fungal infection. Drug allergy can also cause local redness, swelling and itching. 6. Herpes zoster A relatively rare disease that occurs on the skin of the penis, caused by the varicella-zoster virus. The virus is neurotropic and can remain dormant in the neurons of the dorsal root ganglia of the spinal cord for a long time after infection. When the body's resistance is low or when there is fatigue, infection, or cold, the virus can grow and multiply again and move along the nerve fibers to the skin, causing severe inflammation of the invaded nerves and skin. The main feature is the appearance of groups of blisters on erythema distributed along the nerves, which is extremely painful. 7. Inflammation of hair follicles and surrounding areas Rash is a purulent infection of the hair follicles and the surrounding tissues deep inside the hair follicles. Staphylococcus aureus is the most common pathogen. Local uncleanliness is a common cause of the disease. After the onset of the disease, the local area will be red, swollen, hot and painful, and purulent if not treated in time. 8. Penile cancer Penile cancer is a malignant tumor originating from the glans penis, coronal sulcus, inner lining mucosa of the foreskin and penile skin. It is the most common malignant tumor of the penis, accounting for more than 90% of penile tumors. Before the 1950s, penile cancer was one of the most common malignant tumors of the male urogenital system in my country. With the continuous improvement of sanitary conditions, the incidence of penile cancer has dropped rapidly, and penile cancer has become a rare tumor. The cause of the disease is unknown, but phimosis is a common cause. |
