Is peeling of the glans penis a sign of AIDS?

Is peeling of the glans penis a sign of AIDS?

Penile peeling is just a relatively simple symptom and is not necessarily AIDS. If this disease occurs, it will be caused by the combined effects of many medical reasons. After the onset, people will feel that their symptoms are becoming more and more serious and cannot be controlled at all. It will induce a series of complications such as pneumonia, meningitis and enteritis, all of which will endanger the patient's life.

In 1982, the disease was named "AIDS". Soon after, AIDS spread rapidly to all continents. In 1985, a foreigner who was traveling to China fell ill and was admitted to Peking Union Medical College Hospital. He died soon after. It was later confirmed that he died of AIDS. This was the first case of AIDS in my country.

HIV-infected people will develop into AIDS patients after a latent period of several years, or even 10 years or longer. Because the body's resistance is extremely reduced, they will develop various infections, such as herpes zoster, oral fungal infection, tuberculosis, enteritis, pneumonia, encephalitis caused by special pathogenic microorganisms, and serious infections caused by Candida, Pneumocystis and other pathogens. In the later stages, malignant tumors often occur, and long-term consumption occurs, leading to systemic failure and death.

Although many medical researchers around the world have made great efforts, no specific drug to cure AIDS has been developed so far, nor is there an effective vaccine for prevention. AIDS has been listed as a Class B statutory infectious disease in my country and is listed as one of the infectious diseases under border health surveillance.

The disease is more common in young people, with 80% of cases occurring between the ages of 18 and 45, which is the age group with more active sexual life. After being infected with AIDS, people often suffer from some rare diseases such as Pneumocystis pneumonia, toxoplasmosis, atypical mycobacterial and fungal infections.

After HIV infection, there may be no clinical symptoms in the first few years to more than 10 years. Once AIDS develops, the patient may show various clinical manifestations. Generally, the initial symptoms are similar to those of the common cold and flu, with general fatigue, loss of appetite, fever, etc. As the disease worsens, the symptoms increase day by day, such as Candida albicans infection of the skin and mucous membranes, herpes simplex, herpes zoster, purpura, blood blisters, ecchymoses, etc.; later, it gradually invades the internal organs, and persistent fever of unknown cause occurs, which can last up to 3 to 4 months.

Other symptoms include cough, shortness of breath, dyspnea, persistent diarrhea, blood in the stool, enlarged liver and spleen, and concurrent malignant tumors. The clinical symptoms are complex and varied, but not all of the above symptoms appear in every patient. When the lungs are invaded, dyspnea, chest pain, and cough often occur; when the gastrointestinal tract is invaded, persistent diarrhea, abdominal pain, weight loss, and weakness may occur; and the nervous system and cardiovascular system may also be invaded.
