Prostate Stone Surgery

Prostate Stone Surgery

I believe most people have heard of prostatitis in men. Prostatitis is a very common urinary system disease that troubles middle-aged and elderly men. But in addition to prostatitis, the prostate may also develop prostate stones. Prostate stones can cause urethral obstruction in men, so they must be treated in time. Can surgical intervention completely cure prostate stones?

There are many ways to treat prostate stones, such as traditional surgical treatment. Transurethral prostatectomy and stone removal is the main method, which is generally more suitable for young patients. If the patient has stones and prostate hyperplasia, suprapubic prostate and stone removal can be chosen for treatment.

Minimally invasive surgery is a relatively common treatment method at present. It uses advanced equipment and technology to remove stones from the patient's glands. It is mainly treated by performing surgery through a small incision at the location of the stone. The wound is small and the recovery is fast, so it can be chosen.

Non-invasive extracorporeal treatment first uses a microelectronic chip to determine the specific location of the stones inside the gland, and then removes the prostate stones. It is very effective for infectious stone symptoms and is accurate, safe and reliable. It should be selected according to the patient's condition.

For patients with chronic prostatitis or seminal vesiculitis, who have symptoms but not serious infection, symptomatic treatment is the main method, using prostate massage and antibiotics to control symptoms, combined with hot water sitz baths, urinary tract antispasmodics, etc. to relieve posterior urethral irritation symptoms. Regular X-ray examinations are performed to observe changes in the size of the stones.

For patients with prostatic hyperplasia, transurethral prostatectomy can be performed, and stones can be removed as much as possible. If necessary, open surgery to remove stones or remove the entire prostate is required.
