The second type is ectopic testis, where the testicles stay outside the normal descent route, such as the inner thigh, suprapubic area, perineum, lower abdomen, and sometimes even enter the opposite scrotum, resulting in no testicles in one side of the scrotum and two testicles on the opposite side.

The third type is the wandering testicle, also known as testicular retraction, which means that the testicle retracts to the area above the scrotum after descending into the scrotum. There are two situations: one is that the testicle that descends into the scrotum rises to the area above the scrotum due to the contraction of the levator testis muscle after encountering cold and other stimuli, and then descends back into the scrotum soon.
