Male groin pain

Male groin pain

There are many causes of groin pain in men. It may be caused by lymphadenitis and hernia, or it may be caused by musculoskeletal diseases and varicocele. Therefore, when encountering groin pain, male friends should pay attention to groin hygiene, and use antibiotics to treat the symptoms of inflammation. In severe cases, timely medical examination is required.

1. Buboes

It is mainly caused by infection or inflammation of the lower limb lymphatic system, which causes local groin pain. However, the local enlarged lymph nodes can be touched by themselves and there is tenderness. Some patients may also have lower limb edema. B-ultrasound and routine blood tests can usually make a diagnosis. The main treatment is antibiotic treatment.

2. Inguinal hernia:

After an inguinal hernia attack, there may be local pulling pain and a local soft mass, which is obvious when standing and disappears when lying down. Local physical examination and B-ultrasound can also be used for diagnosis, and surgical treatment is the main treatment.

3. Varicose vein:

Symptoms include a scrotal swelling and pain, and there may be pulling pain in the groin, but it usually gets better after lying down. There is local thickening and tenderness of the spermatic cord. Frequent attacks require surgical treatment, and specific cases require consultation with a urologist.

4. Bone and muscle diseases:

Local muscle strain, ligament strain, and nerve damage can cause local pain all year round, which can be improved with Yunnan Baiyao and external application of Voltaren.

5. Herniated disc and piriformis syndrome:

It can also cause pain in the lower back and lower limbs, which may radiate to the groin area.

Among these five reasons, only varicocele is closely related to men, so when men feel groin pain, they must not be careless, so as not to aggravate the condition. They should go to Ningbo New Oriental Men's Hospital as soon as possible to find out the symptoms and receive treatment as soon as possible.
