Boys have lumps on their nipples

Boys have lumps on their nipples

If you find a lump inside a boy's nipple, you must take him to the hospital for examination as soon as possible, because boys may also suffer from breast diseases, but the incidence rate is not very high, especially breast cancer. The incidence rate of male patients is getting higher and higher. It is necessary to confirm whether the cause is benign or malignant. If it is a benign lesion, surgical treatment is required, and there is no need for more complicated treatment measures.

1. Treatment of painless breast lumps

1. Benign lesions are first treated with surgery. If they do not recur after surgery, no drug treatment is required.

2. Radical surgery is recommended for malignant lesions, followed by chemotherapy, radiotherapy, hormone therapy and other adjuvant treatments based on the patient's specific condition.

2. Treatment of painful breast lumps

1. For infected lumps, sensitive antibiotics are mainly used to fight infection, and surgical incision and drainage are performed if necessary.

2. Non-infectious lumps are treated mainly with medication or surgery depending on the situation.

3. Treatment of lumps associated with nipple discharge

1. Intraductal papilloma

Intraductal papilloma is a benign tumor with a low chance of malignancy and is not ideal for drug treatment. Surgery is often used for treatment.

2. Papillary adenoma of the breast nipple

This disease is a benign tumor of the nipple. Surgery is the first choice for treatment. Generally, surgical removal of the nipple and the tissues including the tumor can cure the disease.

3. Breast papillary adenoma

This disease is a benign tumor. Drug treatment is ineffective and the only treatment is surgery. A biopsy should be performed before surgery.

4. Diagnosis and treatment of male breast lumps

1. Male breast cancer is generally considered unilateral, often located in the left breast. It is a painless mass with a hard texture and rapid growth. There is also frequent nipple discharge. Male breast cancer will metastasize to lymph nodes earlier. For those without metastasis, radical mastectomy can be performed. For elderly patients who cannot undergo surgery, testicles should be removed.

2. Malignant melanoma of the breast

The patient accidentally discovers a lump on or in the breast. Generally, there is a history of pigmented lesions at the site of the lesion. The pigmented spot grows suddenly and rapidly, and physical examination shows inflammatory changes in the skin. Black or blue-black, slightly raised or hemispherical or nodular swellings appear on the skin, growing infiltratively, and satellite-like nodules can be seen around the primary lesion. The treatment is mainly surgical.
