Phimosis at 30 years old

Phimosis at 30 years old

When men reach the age of 30, if they have phimosis, they should go to the hospital for circumcision without hesitation, because most men have already had sex at the age of 30. If they continue to have phimosis, their sex life will be seriously affected, and they may also infect women with diseases, because bacteria are particularly likely to appear in the phimosis. So what should you do if you have phimosis at the age of 30?

1. Clinical manifestations

Phimosis patients mainly have the following clinical manifestations:

(1) The patient's foreskin opening is narrow and pinhole-like, causing varying degrees of dysuria, slow and thin urine flow, and bulging foreskin during urination.

(2) The patient's foreskin cannot be turned up for cleaning, and smegma accumulates in the foreskin sac. The smegma can be discharged from the foreskin opening or remain in the coronal groove of the glans penis in the form of small lumps.

(3) The patient has retained smegma, which makes urine discharge difficult and prone to phimosis. When the phimosis becomes inflamed, the foreskin becomes red and swollen, with purulent secretions.

(4) The patient has incarcerated foreskin, severe pain, edema of the foreskin, a narrow ring at the upper edge, and a dark purple glans penis. It is also accompanied by difficulty urinating. Long-term incarceration may cause necrosis of the foreskin and glans penis.

2. Differential diagnosis

Phimosis is different from prepuce hyperplasia and concealed penis and needs to be carefully distinguished.

(1) Foreskin is too long

Phimosis means that the foreskin cannot be turned back and the foreskin opening is narrow and small. If the foreskin is too long, the foreskin can be turned back by hand to expose the glans penis.

(2) Hidden penis

The child is obese, the foreskin is beak-shaped, the penile skin is not attached to the penile body, and the penile compression test is positive, indicating hidden penis.

Therefore, modern medicine is against circumcision for children. If the incision is too small to expose the glans penis, it is a mild phimosis, and you can go to a children's hospital for foreskin expansion.

After the expansion treatment, parents still need to clean the child's peeling skin every day, and then apply chlortetracycline eye ointment or cod liver oil to prevent adhesion. After the legs are removed, the foreskin needs to be put back to its original position. It cannot be turned over all the time, otherwise it will cause the foreskin to get stuck.
