Redness and itching inside the foreskin

Redness and itching inside the foreskin

Nowadays, many men have foreskin that is too long. Foreskin that is too long cannot be cured by just taking more baths, because bacteria will still be found inside. The foreskin needs to be turned up and cleaned thoroughly to achieve the effect of thorough cleaning. Many people feel redness, swelling and itching inside the foreskin from time to time. These are all caused by lack of attention to hygiene, transmission during sexual intercourse, drugs or injuries.

What are the causes of balanitis?

1. Not paying attention to genital hygiene

Because the sebaceous glands of the foreskin of young men secrete more vigorously, if they are not careful to clean it or the foreskin is not turned up when cleaning, the secretions of the sebaceous glands of the foreskin will accumulate under the foreskin, making it easy for bacteria to invade and induce dermatitis.

2. Injury

Because teenagers have strong sexual desire and often masturbate, sometimes they may be too rough during masturbation, which can easily cause varying degrees of foreskin damage. It is also possible that because they are too excited during masturbation and the damage is not obvious, they may not notice it and do not receive timely treatment, causing the wound to be infected by bacteria and leading to the occurrence of balanitis.

3. Sexual transmission

The patient may have sexual intercourse with a woman suffering from fungal or other vaginitis, or may not have a regular partner and have an unclean sex life, which may cause bacteria to attach to the penis through sexual intercourse. These bacteria then spread to the foreskin, thus causing balanitis.

4. Drug-induced

The side effects of some drugs can cause some diseases in men, such as balanitis and prostatitis. Some patients may develop balanitis after taking drugs. Or the use of some topical drugs can also cause balanitis. Some patients like to buy some topical drugs to apply when they have penile itching or other discomforts. Sometimes some of the drugs used are very irritating, which can irritate the penis and cause balanitis.

Warm reminder: men with balanitis should refrain from sexual intercourse to avoid transmitting the bacteria to women and prevent the disease from getting worse. And when the disease occurs, effective measures should be taken in time for treatment, and daily care and diet should be combined to develop good habits, so that you can recover soon, and you don’t have to worry about affecting your sexual function and causing other male diseases.
