Why do men have large areolas?

Why do men have large areolas?

Not only women, but men also have areolas. Generally speaking, men's areolas are not big because men's upper breasts are relatively small. However, some men have large upper areolas, and their breasts generally develop faster than normal men. Some genetic factors and certain diseases can cause men's areolas to be large, which requires specific analysis. So, why do men have large areolas?

1. Normal Phenomena during Puberty

When entering puberty, boys' breasts will also undergo changes, big or small. For example, the areola may become wider and darker in color, and the nipples may become slightly larger.

2. Excessive estrogen

During puberty, some boys temporarily secrete more estrogen than testosterone. In addition, breast tissue is more sensitive to estrogen, so the areola and breasts become larger. This is a normal phenomenon and will disappear after full development, so there is no need to worry.

3. Genetics

Some men have "big breasts", and you can't blame them, they are born with more fat in this area. Maybe big breasts are also inherited from their fathers.

2. Excessive estrogen

Some men have bad living habits and always eat hormone-rich foods and junk food, which causes them to inadvertently take in too much hormones and lead to abnormal body development.

3. Poor liver function

Traditional Chinese medicine believes that male breasts belong to the kidneys and nipples belong to the liver. If the emotions are not balanced and the liver is damaged by rage, the liver qi will be stagnant. If the stagnation lasts for a long time, it will turn into fire, burn the body fluids of the liver and kidneys, damage the liver function, and reduce the detoxification function, so that the excess estrogen in the human body cannot be deactivated in the liver, but acts on the target organ, the breast, thus leading to the situation of overly large breasts.

4. Gynecomastia

Male breast hyperplasia is called gynecomastia. It often occurs before and after puberty and in old age, mainly due to a transient increase in endogenous estrogen or a decrease in androgen, and can often disappear on its own. If you have diabetes, tumors of the urogenital system or nervous system, prostate disease, long-term use of estrogen, or other diseases, long-term use of some drugs, such as reserpine, remifentanil, digitalis, chlorpromazine, etc., it can also cause breast development, which generally disappears after stopping the drug.
