Red pimples on scrotum

Red pimples on scrotum

Red bumps appear in the scrotum area. Generally speaking, this is related to not paying attention to personal hygiene, especially in the hot summer. If you do not pay attention to cleaning the private parts in time, the male scrotum may have this symptom. Of course, this may also be related to some skin diseases or some fungal infections. It often leads to itching and even infection. Let's take a look at this aspect.

Red pimples on scrotum

1. Pearly papules of the penis

Features of small pimples:

Quantity: Multiple.

Location: Occurs at the edge of the coronal sulcus of the penis.

Symptoms: No pain or itching, no subjective symptoms.

Appearance: One or two rows of small bumps the size of millet grains or larger are arranged along the edge of the coronal groove.

Changes: It will not grow bigger.

Others: It is more common in people with foreskin that is too long. The bumps are more obvious when the penis is erect.

Target: Healthy men (many are unmarried). According to research, 38.6% of young men have penile pearly papules.

Treatment: This is a physiological developmental abnormality in men that does not affect sexual function and generally does not require treatment. Do not treat it as a sexually transmitted disease.

2. Pseudo-warts of the vulva

Features of small pimples:

Quantity: Multiple.

Location: Occurs on the inner side of the labia minora and the vestibule on both sides.

Symptoms: None.

Changes: This small bump will not grow larger.

Target population: healthy young women, with an incidence rate of approximately 20%.

Treatment: It does not affect physiological functions and is not a sexually transmitted disease, so generally no treatment is required.

3. Pomoid papulosis

Features of small pimples:

Number: There may be more than one, or one or two.

Location: Most are on the penis, mons pubis, perineum and labia; a few are on the genital mucosa.

Symptoms: No symptoms.

Appearance: Flat, raised bumps. Skin-colored, light brown, brown. Bean-sized or larger, with a nipple-like or smooth surface.

Change: May become more and grow, but not very fast.

Target population: Young and middle-aged men and women who are sexually active.

Treatment: Both the general public and doctors should be aware that this disease is very similar to genital warts, a sexually transmitted disease, but it is not a sexually transmitted disease and has nothing to do with sexual contact. Of course, if the patient has a history of sexual contact, it is easy to confuse. After diagnosis, local physical treatment should be used, such as laser, freezing, electrocautery, etc.

4. Sebaceous gland ectopy

Features of small pimples:

Quantity: Multiple.

Location: Mostly occurs on the labial mucosa and cheek mucosa, but also occurs on the areola, glans penis, labia minora, clitoris, inner side of labia majora, penis and foreskin.

Symptoms: No conscious symptoms.

Appearance: Pale yellow or white, millet-sized, flat and hemispherical papules, scattered or dense.

Changes: It will not grow bigger.

Others: Pimples become more noticeable when the skin or mucous membranes are stretched taut.

Target population: Mainly young people, with those under 30 years old accounting for 75% of the total number of cases.

Treatment: This disease is very similar to vulvar pseudowarts, penile pearly papules, and even small condylomas. In fact, this is not a sexually transmitted disease, but just a physiological variation and hyperplasia of the sebaceous glands. Don't be nervous, generally this disease does not need treatment.
