What's wrong with blood in sperm?

Nowadays, people are under great pressure in life and work, so they don't have much time to pay attention to their physical condition, which will cause various problems in their bodies. (4) Surgery or trauma to the genitals, the blood vessels in the sperm chamber are damaged, the blood does not return to the menstrual blood, and overflows into the sperm chamber, causing the semen and blood to mix and come out. (5) Long-term diseases of the reproductive organs do not heal, causing the vessels to stagnate, blood circulation to be blocked, and the sperm passage to become mixed with the blood, causing this disease.

Traditional Chinese medicine believes that hematospermia is mainly caused by heat disturbing the sperm chamber, blood overflowing due to rupture of the veins, or spleen and kidney deficiency, and qi failure to absorb blood. The lesion site is mainly the damage of the blood vessels in the lower jiao sperm chamber. The lesion site of hematospermia is in the lower jiao sperm chamber. Regardless of the cause of the damage of the blood vessels in the sperm chamber, hematospermia can occur. If qi is not absorbed, blood overflows the veins, and semen and blood are intertwined. During sexual intercourse, blood is discharged with semen, and hematospermia is also seen. The disease can be divided into deficiency and excess. Excessive syndrome is mostly caused by dampness, heat, fire and toxicity, which forces blood to flow or blood stasis, and blood does not return to the meridians. Deficiency syndrome is mostly caused by spleen and kidney deficiency, qi deficiency cannot absorb blood, and blood overflows the veins. The pathogenesis is mainly caused by heat and fire forcing blood, qi deficiency and failure to absorb, and blood stasis. Key points of diagnosis and treatment: This disease has many causes, complicated pathogenesis, and different clinical manifestations, which can be summarized into two aspects: deficiency and excess. Pay attention to distinguishing deficiency and excess in treatment, so that you can be concise and avoid complexity. Excessive syndrome is mostly caused by dampness, heat, fire and toxicity disturbing the sperm chamber, causing blood to overflow. Clinically, it is mainly seen in young men and in the early stage of hemospermia. Symptoms are acute onset, semen is mostly bright red, accompanied by pain in the perineum, testicles, and lower abdomen, red face and eyes, bitter mouth and dry throat, dry stool and red urine, red tongue, yellow tongue coating, and rapid pulse. Deficiency syndrome is mostly caused by deficiency of spleen and kidney, deficiency of qi and failure of blood to return to the meridians. Clinically, it mainly affects the elderly, the weak, and those who have been ill for a long time. The symptoms are slow onset and long course. The semen is mostly light red or dark red, accompanied by dull pain in the perineum, testicles, or lower abdomen, dizziness, palpitations, shortness of breath, backache, and a deep and weak pulse.

Main symptoms: dark red and viscous semen, pain during ejaculation, bloating and pain in the lower abdomen, perineum, testicles, and lumbar sacral region, dizziness and irritability, bitter mouth and dry throat, red face and eyes. Fullness in the chest and abdomen, dry stool or diarrhea due to heat, red and astringent urine, red tongue, yellow and greasy tongue coating, and slippery and rapid pulse.

Treatment method: Clear away heat and dampness, cool blood and stop bleeding.

Representative prescription: Longdan Xiegan Decoction or Bazheng Powder with modifications.

Commonly used medicines: Gentiana, Fragrant osmanthus, Bupleurum, Scutellaria, Phellodendron, Herba Lycopodiellae, Plantago, Talcum, Akebia, Angelica, Rehmannia, and Licorice.

2. Yin deficiency and fire excess syndrome

Main symptoms: Bright red semen, or accompanied by pain during ejaculation, bloating and discomfort in the genitals, lumbar pain, dizziness and tinnitus, restlessness and insomnia, dry mouth and throat, short and dark urine, red tongue with little coating, and weak and rapid pulse.

Treatment method: Nourish yin, purge fire, cool blood and calm the nerves.

Representative formula: Zhibai Dihuang Wan combined with Erzhi Wan with modifications.

Commonly used medicines: Rehmannia root, Cortex Moutan, Fructus Corni, Dioscorea opposita, Anemarrhena asphodeloides, Phellodendron chinense, Rhizoma Cynomorii, Poria, Fructus Ligustri Lucidi, and Ecliptae.

3. Blood stasis syndrome

Main symptoms: semen is dark red or contains small blood clots, pain in the vulva, perineum, and lower abdomen, and there is an obvious history of trauma, the tongue is dark or has ecchymosis, and the pulse is astringent.

Treatment method: Promote blood circulation and stop bleeding, resolve blood stasis and dredge meridians.

Representative prescription: Taohong Siwu Decoction with modifications.

Commonly used medicines: Rehmannia root, Angelica sinensis, Red Peony Root, Chuanxiong, Sanguisorba officinalis, Peach Kernel, and Safflower.
