What is the normal color of sperm?

To have a smart baby, of course, you need attractive sperm to combine closely with healthy eggs, so it can be seen that a quiet night for men is very important for pregnancy. However, many infertility problems nowadays happen to men. Many male friends have problems such as unattractive sperm and low sperm quality. And this problem is usually reflected in the color of sperm. So, what color is normal sperm?

What color is normal sperm?

1. Sperm density: Normal ≥ 2ml. If it exceeds 7ml, it is too much, not only the number of sperm is reduced, but also it is easy to be discharged from the vagina, resulting in a decrease in the number of sperm in men, which is more common in seminal vesiculitis; if it is less than 2ml, the sperm density is too low, but generally less than 1ml is too low.

At this time, the total area of sperm contacting the female reproductive system is small, or the concentration is not conducive to the entry of male sperm into the female cervix, causing infertility, which is more common in more serious secondary sex hormone inflammation, low testosterone levels, vas deferens obstruction, retrograde ejaculation, etc.

2. Color: Normal color is gray or slightly yellowish. Milky white or light green indicates inflammation of the reproductive system or side effects; pink, bright red, and blood cells under the microscope indicate strong sperm, which is often seen in inflammation of side effects and posterior urethra, and occasionally in tuberculosis or tumor.

3. pH acidity: The normal pH value of semen is 72-78. Lower than 7.2 is often seen in vas deferens obstruction or urine pollution; more than 78 is often seen in seminal vesiculitis or old specimen collection.

4. Vaporization time: After normal semen is ejaculated, it becomes jelly due to the condensation and hydrolysis of the seminal vesicles, and becomes liquid due to the vaporization and hydrolysis of the male prostate after 15 to 30 minutes. This is sperm liquefaction. If semen still does not vaporize 30 minutes after ejaculation, it is considered abnormal.

5. Viscosity: Touch the vaporized semen with a glass rod and lift it gently to produce semen threads, which are normally less than 2 cm long.

6. Sperm count: It is generally expressed by the number of sperm in 1 ml of semen. The normal count is ≥20 106/ml. A count lower than this value indicates too few sperm, which is often seen in spermatogenesis problems caused by various reasons. It may lead to low fertility or infertility due to the reduced chance of sperm entering the uterine body and bilateral fallopian tubes. If the sperm count exceeds 250 106/ml, it means too many sperm, which may also cause infertility due to the affected sperm motility.

How to check male sperm by yourself

Generally speaking, the quality of male sperm can be judged by the color, quantity, vaporization time, viscosity, etc. of the sperm. The actual results are as follows:

1. Sperm color: The color of sperm of a normal and healthy man is gray or slightly yellowish. If it is milky white or light green, there may be some inflammation. If the color of sperm is pink or bright red, it is strong sperm, which is more common in side effects of hormones and posterior urethritis.

2. The number of sperm in men: The number of normal male sperm should be more than or equal to 2ml. If the number of male sperm is less than 2ml, it can be judged as oligospermia, which can easily affect male fertility.

3. Sperm liquefaction time: After normal men ejaculate sperm, it will become jelly under the coagulation and hydrolysis of the seminal vesicles. After 5-30 minutes, it will become liquid under the vaporization and hydrolysis of the prostate gland. This is called sperm liquefaction. If the sperm still does not vaporize 30 minutes after ejaculation, this situation is considered abnormal.

4. Sperm viscosity: Use a glass rod to touch the vaporized semen, and gently lift it to produce semen threads. If the semen is normal, the length of the semen thread should be less than 2 cm.
