The glans penis is a very important organ for men. Once there are small granulations on this place, it will definitely be very worrying, mainly because sexually transmitted diseases generally have similar characteristics. In fact, there is no need to worry about small granulations on the glans penis, especially these granulations are distributed at the connection between the glans penis and the penis. It is very likely to be pearly rash, which is easy to deal with. So, what should we do if there are small granulations on the glans penis? Let's take a look below. This is pearly rash, don't worry! Pearly rash (Hirsuties papillaris genitalis), also known as pearly penile papules, coronal sulcus or glans papules, is also called hairy penis or multi-papillary penis by some scholars. Currently, most scholars believe that this is a normal physiological variation, so it will not affect health and will not be infected or spread through sexual intercourse. Pearly penile papules are more common in men around 20-30 years old. The damage mainly occurs at the edge of the glans penis and the junction of the coronal sulcus and/or the frenulum. The lesions are 1-3mm in size, and the lesions are larger on both sides of the frenulum. The top of the papules is round and smooth, and some papules are hairy or filamentous. The papules are mostly not fused, and are densely arranged in a row. or multiple rows, obvious on the dorsal side of the glans, may partially or completely surround the glans. The color of the lesions is mostly pearly white, a few are light red, skin color, and some may appear slightly red and swollen. There is no tenderness, no rupture, and the patient has no conscious symptoms. The key to distinguishing penile pearly papules from condylomas is that the former has more lesions confined to the edge of the glans penis, with a pearly white papule, smooth surface, and no increase in size with the course of the disease. The acetic acid test is negative. The latter has more lesions than the latter, with larger lesions, rough surface, and no lesions. Most of them are cauliflower-shaped and gradually increase in size as the disease progresses. The acetic acid test is positive and histopathological examination reveals concave cells. Pearl Therapy Penile pearly rash is a benign disease. Some people may disappear after a certain period of time, while others may remain unchanged for decades. Because pearly rash is non-contagious and harms health, it does not need to be treated. However, in order to prevent the disease from getting worse, prevention and care are important. If it is caused by prepuce, treat prepuce as soon as possible; if it is caused by local secretion irritation, the penis and perineum should be washed frequently, and underwear should be changed frequently. If the patient with pearly rash requires treatment, laser therapy, cryotherapy or topical corrosive drugs can be used to remove it. It is recommended that you go to the hospital for examination and diagnosis in time and follow the doctor's instructions for treatment. |
