What is the cause of male genital herpes?

Genital herpes is a common clinical disease. It is a herpes virus. Men can also have symptoms of genital herpes. This herpes is contagious and has a wide range of transmission routes, so attention should be paid to treatment. The treatment of male genital herpes needs to be combined with the cause of the disease. In addition to sexual transmission, there are many other reasons that need to be paid attention to. So what is the cause of male genital herpes?

1. Unclean sex life.

Unhygienic sexual intercourse is the main cause of genital herpes. Genital herpes is almost always caused by sexual contact. Genital herpes patients are the main source of infection, with rapid transmission and high infection rate, usually occurring about 3 weeks after infection.

2. Traumatic infection.

The herpes virus of genital herpes can enter the body through small cracks on the skin or mucous membranes. After a few days of incubation, the bacteria will multiply to a sufficient number and then the disease will begin. Therefore, you must be careful when treating cracked wounds.

3. Low immunity.

It mainly refers to non-sexual contact transmission. It can be transmitted through contact with the secretions of patients with genital herpes or contaminated utensils, such as towels, foot cloths, foot basins, clothes and quilts stained with secretions, and even toilet seats.

4. Viral infection.

Primary genital herpes is transmitted through direct contact with a person infected with herpes virus through sexual intercourse. HSV invades epithelial cells through slight abrasions or cracks in the skin and mucous membranes, replicates and multiplies in them, causing inflammatory reactions such as spherical degeneration and necrosis of cells, infiltration of inflammatory cells, and stimulating the body's immune response. The virus that invades the body goes up along the peripheral sensory nerves into the sensory or motor ganglia of the dorsal root of the spinal cord, establishing a latent infection. The latent infection is the root cause of the recurrence of genital herpes. The activation of the latent virus is related to the virus's thymidine kinase and the body's immune and non-immune factors. After being activated, the latent virus descends along the peripheral nerve axons to the skin and mucous membranes, causing recurrence.
