How to massage and treat prostate disease?

Prostate disease is mainly caused by bacterial infection. Urinating will be accompanied by pain, and the lower abdomen will also be bloated and uncomfortable; in severe cases, it will cause fever. This may also spread to the seminal vesicles, causing acute seminal vesiculitis. It can also cause a variety of symptoms throughout the body. To avoid prostate congestion, you must try not to eat spicy food, smoke or drink, do not catch a cold, and do not sit for a long time. You must develop good habits, drink water frequently, and do not hold your urine. Pay attention to the combination of work and rest, which can improve blood circulation in the prostate area, improve your own yin and yang balance, and prevent the occurrence of aseptic prostate disease.

1. Infection route

Prostate infection route 1: Direct spread through the urethra

Direct spread through the urethra is a more common route of infection. Bacteria ascend into the urethra through the urethral opening, and then invade the prostate through the prostatic duct, causing acute or chronic prostatitis. It is worth noting that gonococcal urethritis is an important cause of prostatitis. With the rapid development of gonorrhea in China in recent years, it has become an important cause of chronic prostatitis. Prostatic hyperplasia or the presence of stones can cause the prostatic urethra to deform, twist, become congested, and cause urination difficulties, and reduce the immune ability of the prostatic urethral mucosa against non-pathogenic bacteria that can coexist peacefully in the urethra, making prostatitis more likely to occur. Hypersexuality or excessive masturbation can cause repeated congestion of the prostate and induce prostatitis. Catheterization or urethral instrument examination can bring bacteria into the urethra and cause prostate infection.

Prostate infection route 2: Infection through blood circulation

Pathogens from infection sites elsewhere in the body can reach the prostate through the blood circulation and cause prostatitis. Common examples include bacteria from infection sites in the skin, tonsils, caries, respiratory tract, or intestinal tract that enter the blood and invade the prostate.

Prostate infection route three: lymphatic infection

The lymphatic infection route is relatively rare. Prostatitis can be caused by inflammation of the prostate gland's vicinity, such as the rectum, colon, bladder, and urethra, through the lymphatic ducts.

The classification of prostatitis is relatively complex. In addition to common bacterial prostatitis, which can be divided into acute prostatitis and chronic prostatitis, there is also specific prostatitis, including prostatitis caused by gonococci, tuberculosis, syphilis, fungi and parasites (such as Trichomonas); prostatitis caused by viral, mycoplasma and chlamydia infection; as well as granulomatous prostatitis; prostatitis and prostatic congestion, etc.

2. Complications of prostate disease

1. Acute seminal vesiculitis or epididymitis and vas deferens Due to the anatomical structure, acute prostate inflammation can easily spread to the seminal vesicle, resulting in acute seminal vesiculitis. At the same time, bacteria can retrograde through the lymphatic vessels into the wall and outer sheath of the vas deferens, causing epididymitis, which is manifested by local redness, swelling and hard nodules in the epididymis, as well as tenderness, swelling and perineal discomfort.

2. Acute urinary retention Acute prostatitis causes local congestion and swelling of the gland, which compresses the urethra, resulting in difficulty in urination and even acute urinary retention.

3. Spermatic lymph nodes are enlarged or tender. The prostate gland communicates with the spermatic lymph nodes in the pelvis. Acute prostatitis may affect the spermatic cord, causing the spermatic lymph nodes to swell and become tender.

4. Sexual dysfunction: During the acute inflammatory stage, the prostate gland may become congested, edematous or have small abscesses. There may be pain during ejaculation and painful erections. In addition to the appearance of systemic symptoms, it generally causes symptoms such as loss of libido, pain during sexual intercourse, and impotence. As the inflammation spreads and invades small blood vessels, symptoms such as hematospermia may also occur.

5. Other cases of acute prostatitis may be accompanied by groin pain and renal angina in severe cases.

3. Massage therapy

The so-called prostate massage therapy is a therapy that achieves the goal of relieving the accumulation of prostate secretions, improving local blood circulation, and promoting the absorption and disappearance of inflammation by regularly massaging the prostate, draining prostate fluid, and expelling inflammatory substances.

Prostate massage is particularly suitable for patients with retention and chronic bacterial prostatitis, where the glands are full, soft, and have more purulent secretions. It is both a diagnostic method and a treatment method. Some people believe that the therapeutic significance of this method can even exceed that of antibiotics.

Specific operation method: The patient takes the chest-knee position, and the operator wears a rubber glove with the right index finger, applies lubricating paraffin oil, and gently massages the anus and then slowly extends it into the rectum. After touching the prostate, the last knuckle of the index finger is facing the rectal surface of the prostate, and the prostate is pressed from the outside to the top, inside to the bottom, that is, first press from both sides of the gland to the midline 3 to 4 times, and then squeeze out the prostate fluid from the central groove from top to bottom to the external opening of the urethra. Generally, massage 1 to 2 times a week. The massage technique should be "light and slow", pay attention to asking the patient's feelings, and avoid rough and repeated strong pressing to avoid unnecessary damage. In addition, it is recommended that the patient urinate immediately after the massage, so that the inflammatory secretions accumulated in the urethra can be discharged with urine.

4. Self-massage method

1. Palm rubbing to stimulate the Shenque point

First, rub the Shenque point with the base of your palm for 3 minutes, then vibrate the Shenque point with your palm for 1 minute.

2. Massage the lower abdomen

Place your hands on top of each other and massage your abdomen for 5 minutes, centering on the Guanyuan point.

3. Acupressure

Press the aforementioned acupoints until the swelling and soreness are felt, for 1 minute on each acupoint.

4. Rub the Shenshu point

Stretch your hands behind your back and rub the Shenshu points on both sides until you feel local warmth.
