What are the symptoms of trichomonal urethritis in men?

Most men who suffer from trichomoniasis are infected through sexual transmission, because vaginal Trichomonas transmits the bacteria to male friends through swimming, sexual intercourse, etc., leading to the occurrence of male trichomoniasis. For this disease, there is a latent period of about one week, and the reproductive organs will have obvious discomfort.

Symptoms of Trichomonas urethritis in men

(1) The incubation period of trichomonal urethritis is usually 4-7 days. In severe cases, the vulva and inner thighs may be itchy and burning. When the urinary tract is infected at the same time, patients with urethritis and cystitis may have symptoms such as frequent urination, urgency, and pain during urination, as well as hematuria. When retrograde infection leads to pyelonephritis, there are chills, back pain, high fever, general discomfort, and gastrointestinal reactions. Physical examination shows tenderness and percussion pain at the costovertebral angle. The symptoms and signs are the same as those of general bacterial urinary tract infection.

(2) Pain during urination. There is a small amount of discharge from the urethra in the morning, which is serous and occasionally purulent.

Treatment of Trichomonas urethritis in men:

Take 0.2-0.4g of Metring orally, 3 times a day, 10 days as a course of treatment. Topically use Jiaoyan Jieyin Wash or 1:5000 silver nitrate to flush the urethra and retain an appropriate amount of solution for 3-5 minutes.

When the prostate and seminal vesicles are infected at the same time, the patient may have spermatorrhea or bloody semen. At this time, the treatment should be to massage the prostate once a day and use other antibiotics at the same time. Sexual intercourse should be prohibited until the disease is definitely cured.
