What are the reasons why chronic prostatitis is difficult to treat?

Prostatitis is a nightmare for men because it is extremely destructive to men's physiological functions. It can cause sexual dysfunction in men, making them passive in their married life, and ultimately affecting their relationship. Moreover, chronic prostatitis is very difficult to treat, causing men to live in pain for a long time. So, what are the reasons why chronic prostatitis is difficult to treat?

1. The prostate gland is located deep inside the body, and its secretions need to be discharged into the urethra through the prostatic duct before being discharged from the body. The prostatic tissue can be divided into the central area and the peripheral area. The prostatic duct in the central area enters the urethra in parallel with the ejaculatory duct, and the secretions are easy to discharge. The prostatic duct in the peripheral area enters the urethra at a right angle or obliquely, and the secretions are not easy to discharge smoothly; on the contrary, pathogenic microorganisms can easily enter the gland in a retrograde manner.

2. Localized inflammation in the prostate is difficult to diagnose, and is often difficult to treat with medication because the lesions are surrounded by axillary scars and lack blood vessels.

3. The inflammatory lesions in the prostate are not necessarily connected to the urethra, so poor drainage makes it difficult for the inflammation to subside.

4. Due to the proximity, chronic prostatitis often coexists with chronic urethritis, cystitis and seminal vesiculitis, and they are mutually causal.

5. Young men have strong sexual excitability, and frequent sexual impulses can cause repeated congestion of the prostate; unmarried young men's lack of regular life can lead to difficulty in the regular drainage of prostatic fluid, resulting in congestion and inflammation.

6. Chronic prostatitis is not entirely caused by bacterial infection. There are also infections caused by invasion of various pathogenic microorganisms such as viruses and mycoplasmas, as well as aseptic prostatitis without any invasion of pathogenic microorganisms.
