Male urinary tract infection can manifest as redness and swelling of the urethral opening and frequent and urgent urination. For male friends, these reproductive health problems, if not effectively treated, will also threaten life and health, so it is necessary to understand these symptoms and treat them in time. 1. The symptoms of chronic urethritis are mainly red and swollen urethral opening with serous or purulent secretions on the surface. The onset is acute, usually without fever, with symptoms such as pain after urination, urgency, frequent urination, and turbid urine. The frequency of urination is once every few minutes, accompanied by burning and pain in the urethra, which may radiate to the lower abdomen or perineum, and sometimes hematuria can be seen in turbid urine. When complicated with upper urinary tract infection (pyelonephritis), there are chills, fever, back pain and turbid urine, sometimes accompanied by digestive tract symptoms and systemic symptoms. 2. Patients with non-gonococcal urethritis have mucous or purulent secretions at the urethral opening, and the symptoms are milder than those of gonorrhea. A small amount of secretions is easily seen when you do not urinate for a long time or do not urinate at night until you urinate in the morning. Some patients may have crusts or yellowish stains on their underwear. For patients with no obvious symptoms or short intervals between urinations, urethral secretions are easily washed away by urine. Examination shows that the urethral opening is slightly edematous or flushed, slightly everted, and has mucous or purulent secretions. Squeezing the urethra from the root of the penis to the urethral opening can squeeze out mucous or purulent secretions, and occasionally cause slight tenderness. Patients may feel frequent urination, severe urinary pain, or burning pain at the end of urination. Post-gonococcal urethritis is common, characterized by persistent symptoms and signs of urethritis after regular systemic treatment of gonorrhea, or the appearance of the above symptoms and signs some time after recovery due to alcoholism, fatigue, excessive sexual activity, etc. 3. Fungus is what we call Candida albicans. When the external genitalia are infected with Candida, they can be transmitted through sexual contact and cause fungal urethritis. Clinically, most patients with fungal urethritis have symptoms such as itching in the urethra, burning sensation during urination, and occasional stinging. A small number of patients may also have symptoms of secretion. 4. Fungi exist in the normal human body, usually in the skin, oropharynx, colon, vagina and other parts. When there is a large area of burns, acute renal failure, or severe diabetes, the body's resistance is reduced; or when broad-spectrum antibiotics and corticosteroids are used for a long time, the body's flora is imbalanced, and the fungi in the body take the opportunity to grow and multiply. Fungal urethritis can be directly produced; it can also ascend to the upper urinary tract, leading to fungal infection, or even fungal septicemia, and fungal urethritis can be its early manifestation. |
