What to do if your penis is small

Male friends are more concerned about the size of their penis, because if the penis is too small, it will indeed have a certain impact on sexual life, so some treatment methods can be used, such as endocrine therapy and the use of gonadotropin.

(1) Hypogonadism due to insufficient gonadotropin secretion: The most commonly used treatment is HCG therapy, which has similar functions to FSH and LH. In order to achieve the ideal effect, the administration should be similar to the physiological pulsatile release of gonadotropin-releasing hormone secreted by the hypothalamus, with increasing doses given every 2 hours, 25ng/kg each time, by nasal spray or subcutaneous injection.

(2) Gonadal dysfunction: If the testicles secrete testosterone abnormally, testosterone replacement therapy can be used. Testosterone cream can be applied externally or injected intramuscularly, once every 3 weeks, 25 mg each time, for a total of 4 times. After treatment, the penis and scrotum can grow, and pubic hair may appear sometimes. Some patients may experience rapid development of the spine.

(3) Surgical treatment: For patients with incompletely descended testicles, orchiopexy should be performed as soon as possible after endocrine treatment fails.

For patients who are ineffective with hormone therapy and may have androgen receptor abnormalities, surgical reshaping should be considered. For those who insist on being male, penile reshaping and penile prosthesis placement can be used. However, the most commonly used method is sex reassignment surgery.
