How to treat keratinization of pores and keratinization of hairs

Many people may not have heard of keratinization of pores, but its other name must be familiar to everyone: chicken skin. The manifestation of keratinization of pores is that the pores are slightly red, and even feel raised one by one when touched, which looks like chicken skin bumps. What should I do if my skin has keratinization of pores?

1: Treatment methods for keratinized pores

1: Keratosis pilaris most often occurs on the front or outer sides of the arms and legs, and is often mistaken for acne, pimples or unwashed skin. It can occasionally be seen on the buttocks, back and cheeks. It is also called hair moss, keratosis pilaris, and "chicken skin". It is mainly caused by the keratinization of the hair follicles and has a lot to do with fat metabolism. Keratosis pilaris has no effect on life except affecting beauty. According to statistics, 80% of people suffer from this disease, but most people only have a few, which is not easy to find.

2: Generally, no treatment is required. If the condition is severe, you can take a combination of topical 0.1% retinoic acid ointment and urea ointment to improve it. Note that the ointment is a bit irritating and can only relieve the symptoms without curing the root cause. Eat more carrots on a regular basis. Follicular keratosis is caused by abnormal accumulation of cuticles, so exfoliation is the best solution. If the cuticles near the hair follicles maintain a normal thickness, there will be no rough protrusions. Although keratinization is related to cuticles, excessive exfoliation is not recommended, especially in areas with more severe follicular keratinization, and it is not advisable to rub them specifically to avoid causing folliculitis. If the pores are keratinized and folliculitis is present, a low-dose steroid ointment can be used to control inflammation, and then combined with creams containing ingredients such as retinoic acid or salicylic acid. Continuous treatment for several months can achieve significant improvement. You can also use Jipi Qingle directly, which has a very good effect. And patients with keratosis pilaris should drink more water to replenish water.

2: Daily life precautions for patients with keratosis pilaris

1: When bathing, apply soap or shower gel containing exfoliating ingredients to the affected area and gently scrub it with a bath brush to remove keratin plugs in the pores.

2: For those with mild symptoms, you should apply a moisturizer or lotion containing fruit acid or exfoliating ingredients as soon as possible after bathing. In principle, it is not excessive to apply it six or seven times a day. However, you should pay special attention to the label when choosing.

3: For those with more obvious symptoms, after bathing, use a cream containing urea and salicylic acid to rub the affected area, and scrub with a loofah for 5 seconds every day. If there is no irritation, increase the scrubbing time by 5 seconds every week, up to 20 seconds per day. When the papules are not obvious, the scrubbing frequency can be reduced to once or twice a week, and a cream without salicylic acid can be used for moisturizing.

4: Try not to squeeze these papules at will to avoid accidentally causing inflammation and infection of the pores.

Three: Pore keratinization requires daily

If the affected area does not improve or develops itching, pain and other symptoms of follicle inflammation, you should seek treatment from a dermatologist.
