When we walk in places with many plants, we sometimes find bees, and we may be stung by bees if we are not careful. Some bees, such as wasps, are poisonous. What should we do if we are allergic to bee venom after being stung by a bee?

1. Treatment of bee venom allergy

1: Immediately find the bee sting in the stinging area and remove it, then use cupping to suck out the venom and reduce the absorption of toxins.

2: Clean the wound with 3% ammonia, 5% sodium bicarbonate solution or soapy water. For wasp stings, do not use any medicine but apply acetic acid or vinegar locally.

3: You can apply Nantong snake medicine around the wound or choose any of the following herbs for external application, such as Viola yedoensis, Lobelia, Polygonum multiflorum, Taraxacum mongolicum, etc.

2: Folk remedies for treating bee venom allergy

1: Crush garlic or ginger or apply juice to the affected area.

2: Cut fresh eggplant and apply it to the affected area; or add appropriate amount of sugar and mix well and apply it together.

3: Mash fresh Viola yedoensis, Lobelia, Dandelion, Wild Chrysanthemum, Chives, etc. together or individually and apply to the affected area.

4: For mild cases, take 1 tablet of Astemizole once a day, or 4 mg of Poyongmin 3 times a day. For severe cases, send to hospital for treatment as soon as possible. Note: After being stung by a venomous bee, applying ammonia to the affected area is basically ineffective because the histamine in bee venom cannot be neutralized by ammonia.
