Several types of exercise suitable for patients with high blood sugar

Exercise is a good way to strengthen the body and treat diseases. However, not all people are suitable for high-intensity exercise. Some patients should pay special attention to the intensity and method of exercise when exercising to avoid triggering symptoms. For example, patients with high blood sugar should be careful not to exercise too hard when exercising.

1. Walking

1: The walking speed varies from person to person. Mildly obese patients who are in good general condition can walk fast, 120-150 steps per minute; those who are not too obese can walk at a moderate speed, 110-115 steps per minute; the elderly or those with heart failure can walk slowly, 90-100 steps per minute. Start walking for half an hour a day, and then gradually increase to one hour a day, twice a day, morning and evening.

2. Indoor Sports

1: Suitable for patients with multiple complications in the later stages of the disease, or those who are physically weak and hospitalized.

Three: Bed Exercises

1: Exercise the upper and lower limbs separately, such as lifting and lowering, and separating left and right. This is more suitable for bedridden patients.

4: Squat and stand up

1: Start by doing 15-20 times each time, and then increase to 100 times.

5. Alternate between walking and running

1: Alternate between walking and jogging, often used by those who are physically weak. Walk for 30 seconds and then run for 20 seconds, and gradually shorten the walking time and extend the jogging time.

6. Sit-ups

1: Start by doing 5 each time, and then gradually increase to 20-50.

7. Bicycle

1: Patients in good physical condition can also do activities such as jogging, cycling, swimming, badminton, and senior gateball.

8: It should be noted that it is not

Some diabetic patients are suitable for exercise, while diabetic patients with unstable blood sugar, severe cardiovascular and cerebrovascular diseases, severe renal insufficiency, severe retinal disease and diabetic foot are not suitable for exercise. Exercise should be moderate, not excessive, especially for patients taking insulin therapy and elderly patients. Excessive exercise may lead to hypoglycemia, and even cause serious consequences such as insufficient blood supply to the brain and coma. Repeated hypoglycemia may induce adverse consequences such as myocardial infarction, and even cause death.
