Many patients with liver disease develop gallbladder disease after liver disease is cured. Bitter taste in the mouth can also be caused by bile reflux into the stomach due to poor gastric motility. Treatment for bitter mouth 1. Treatment based on different types of diseases (1) Bile heat syndrome Main symptoms: Shaoyang disease, bitter fullness in the chest and abdomen, alternating chills and fever, bitter taste in the mouth, dry throat, the patient may or may not vomit; or gallbladder disease, swelling and pain, nausea and vomiting, or vomiting of bile, thin yellow tongue coating, and stringy and thin pulse. Treatment method: Reconcile Shaoyang, soothe the liver and benefit the gallbladder. Prescription: Xiao Chaihu Decoction combined with Wen Dan Decoction. (2) Liver depression turns into heat Main symptoms: bitter taste in the mouth and dry throat, irritability, dizziness and headache, red eyes and pain in the throat, short yellow urine, dry stool, red edges and tips of the tongue, thin yellow fur, and a stringy and rapid pulse. Treatment method: Clear away liver heat. Prescription: Longdan Xiegan Decoction with modifications. (3) Febrile disease For various types of febrile diseases, the prescription should be based on the symptoms. 2. Reference prescription (1)Wen Dan Tang Pinellia, dried orange peel, Poria, liquorice, immature bitter orange, bamboo shavings, ginger, jujube. Indications: bitter taste in the mouth due to phlegm-heat type, with symptoms including irritability, nausea, vomiting, or vomiting of phlegm, bitter taste in the mouth, dry throat, and stringy and slippery pulse. (2) Artemisia and Scutellariae Gallbladder-Clearing Soup Artemisia annua, scutellaria baicalensis, immature bitter orange, bamboo shavings, poria, pinellia, dried orange peel, and Jasper powder. Indications: symptoms of exogenous damp-heat, slight fever with chills, or alternating chills and fever, chest tightness, abdominal distension, bitter taste in the mouth, dry throat, nausea and vomiting, red urine, yellow and greasy tongue coating, and stringy and rapid pulse. (3) Bupleurum, Scutellaria, Sophora flavescens, Coptis chinensis, Gentiana scabra, Ophiopogon japonicus, Citrus aurantium.
