What can men's color Doppler ultrasound detect?

What can men's color Doppler ultrasound detect?

In many people's eyes, B-ultrasound is usually done by women, and is used to check gynecological diseases and the health of pregnant women's babies. In fact, it is not like that. Men can also check the physical condition of their gallbladder, liver, kidneys, pancreas, heart, lymph nodes, and prostate glands. It can assist in the diagnosis of some diseases and better assist doctors in symptomatic treatment.

What can men check with B-ultrasound?

1. Prostate stones

Scattered small stones, arc-shaped stones, piles of small stones, and single large stones.

2. Prostatic hyperplasia

Ultrasound images show prostate enlargement, with the anterior and posterior diameters mainly enlarged, losing their normal shape and becoming hemispherical or nearly spherical. The glandular duct has a normal shape, symmetrical up and down, and neat edges. The outer membrane may become thicker, but the connection is detailed. The internal echo increases and the distribution is basically uniform. Those with mid-stage enlargement may be accompanied by urinary retention and residual urine.

3. Chronic prostatitis

The size of the glandular duct does not change much, it may be slightly larger or smaller. The sonogram is symmetrical chestnut or crescent-shaped. The outer membrane echo becomes thicker and uneven in thickness due to the progression of inflammation, but generally maintains its consistency and persistence. The internal echo increases, and the light spots vary in size and are unevenly distributed.

4. Prostatic cyst

A ring-shaped or oval fluid area appears in the male prostate, and the echo increases later. The cyst is either localized in the male prostate or protrudes into the bladder cavity. The cyst is generally small, 1-2 cm or less. Large cysts will have sonographic signs of lower urinary tract obstruction.

5. Prostate cancer

Ultrasound images show that the male prostate is deformed, enlarged, with different shapes, irregular and indetailed contours, the outer membrane is ruptured and loses continuity, the internal echo is chaotic and uneven, and some light spots, light points or light groups appear, and some have focal low echo areas. In some cases, when the bladder or seminal vesicles are invaded, relatively abnormal ultrasound images may appear.

6. Prostate abscess

Prostate hypertrophy, detailed outer membrane. Symmetry between the upper and lower parts may or may not be the same, depending on the location of the cyst. The internal echo varies greatly, the vaporized part is a low echo area, and the part that is not vaporized or partially vaporized has an uneven echo. The outer membrane is not detailed when the cyst ruptures to the periphery, and the male prostate is no longer swollen. After duodenal examination, the fluid echo in the abscess cavity can be seen in the vaporized cyst, which is helpful for diagnosis. Prostate abscess caused by Aerobacterium or Escherichia coli will have gas in the abscess cavity, and the posture must be changed for detection to prevent the influence of gas on ultrasound.

VII. Testing of Aluminum Alloy Support for Male Prostatic Urethral Membrane

The sonogram of the aluminum alloy support is a tubular mesh with strong echoes, located at the anterior prostatic urethra. This section of the urethra is opened by it, and there is no obstruction in the tube. The relative path of ultrasound detection is preferably the duodenal method, and both the longitudinal and cross-sectional images show clear information.

The above are some of the diseases that can be examined by B-ultrasound in men's examinations. In fact, most of the parts examined by B-ultrasound are the same for men or women.

B-ultrasound can check the eyes, thyroid cysts, neck, axillary, groin, abdominal lymph nodes, abdominal viscera (liver, gallbladder, pancreas, liver, bilateral kidney function, etc.), pelvis (including male prostatitis, bilateral urethral tubes, bladder, bilateral seminal vesicles, pelvic lymph nodes), lower limbs, upper limbs, neck blood vessels, and can also do interventional ultrasound, pleural effusion, etc. Most soft tissue viscera can be checked with B-ultrasound!
