Clinical manifestations and treatment of exfoliative keratolysis

Skin diseases bring great trouble to people, and many skin diseases can be transmitted from one person to another, which not only affects one's family and friends, but also affects one's self-confidence, and even leads to inferiority complex. For example, in medicine, there is a skin disease called exfoliative keratolysis. What are the clinical manifestations of this disease?

Clinical manifestations

The skin lesions start as scattered white, pin-sized blisters, the number of which varies, and gradually expand to the periphery. The central lesions rupture to form superficial scaling. Most skin lesions expand and can fuse into thin paper-like epidermal exfoliation. The skin under the exfoliated epidermis is almost completely normal. There are no signs of inflammation, and it often occurs symmetrically on the palms and soles. The course of the disease is slow, with no conscious symptoms. After 2 to 3 weeks, the scales fall off naturally and the disease heals. The disease begins in late spring and early summer every year, and resolves spontaneously in autumn when the climate cools. It is more common in adults.
