How long does it take for eczema to heal? What is the duration of eczema treatment?

Eczema is a skin disease caused by many factors, and for some men with allergies, the chance of suffering from eczema is relatively high, because skin allergies are also one of the causes of eczema. So, after suffering from eczema, how long will it take to be cured?

1. Acute

The acute phase has an acute onset, with skin manifestations of numerous clustered small red papules and erythema, edema at the base, which quickly turn into papules and small blisters, which erode after breaking, with obvious yellow exudate or covered with yellow-white serous crusts of varying thickness, gradually spreading to the surroundings, with scattered small papules visible on the periphery, also known as satellite rash. The facial skin may be flushed and swollen. Intertriginous areas such as the armpits, groin, and around the anus may be affected and combined with rubbing. If improper care is provided, secondary infections are common and can spread throughout the body. During this period, the sick child cannot sleep at night and is irritable and restless, and those with combined infections may have a low fever.

2. Subacute

In the subacute phase, the exudation, redness, swelling, and crusting of acute eczema gradually decrease, and the skin is mainly small papules, sometimes with white scales or a few remaining papules and erosions. At this time, the itching sensation is slightly relieved and can last for a long time. It can be caused by the evolution of the acute phase or improper treatment.

3. Chronic

In the chronic stage, the rash recurs repeatedly, with pigmentation, coarsening and thickening of the skin, and rarely lichenification. It is distributed on the limbs, especially in the four pits. If it occurs on the palms, soles or joints, it will cause cracking and pain. If it is not treated properly or under certain inducements, it can recur acutely at any time, and the patient will feel severe itching.
