Normal range of blood sugar after meal:

1 hour after meal: blood sugar 6.7-9.4 mmol/L. No more than 11.1mmol/L (200mg/dl)

2 hours after meal: blood sugar ≤7.8 mmol/L.

3 hours after meal: Return to normal after the third hour, all urine sugars are negative

Diagnostic criteria:

1. Aged ≥ 45 years; BMI ≥ 24; history of IGT or IFG; or glycosylated hemoglobin A1c between 5.7% and 6.5%

2. Those with a family history of diabetes

3. Those with low high-density lipoprotein cholesterol (HDL) (<0.9mmol/L) and/or triglycerides (>2.8mmol/L)

4. People with blood pressure ≥140/90mmHg) and/or cardiovascular and cerebrovascular diseases

5. Pregnant women aged ≥30 years with a history of gestational diabetes; those who have given birth to large babies (≥4kg); those with unexplained delayed labor; and women with polycystic ovary syndrome

6. Not participating in physical activities for many years

7. Use of glucocorticoids, diuretics, etc.

People at high risk of diabetes should check their pancreatic islet function (C-peptide secretion test) at least twice a year to ensure early diagnosis and treatment.
