Do you know these four ways to preserve coriander?

Some friends who like to eat coriander will prepare some at home. Coriander is expensive and the amount used each time is not much, but it is not easy to preserve. So how to store coriander has become a problem that bothers everyone. Today, the editor brings several ways to solve this problem.

Method 1: Remove the bad and yellow leaves of the coriander, pinch off the roots, wash, cut, drain most of the water, put it in a plastic bag, and put it directly in the refrigerator to freeze. When needed, take it out of the refrigerator and rub it vigorously in your hands once or twice, so that the sticky parts of the coriander will be scattered, and you can directly grab a part to use. Note that because the coriander has been frozen, it is not suitable for mixing cold dishes, but it has a good effect in steaming vegetables and stewing soup.

The picture below shows coriander that has been frozen in the refrigerator for 4 months. The effect is quite good, isn’t it?

Method 2: Put the cilantro into a plastic bag, put a small piece of radish or cabbage leaves, and wrap it with newspaper, then tie the plastic bag tightly and put it in the refrigerator. This way, the cilantro can be kept fresh for a long time. If the radish or cabbage leaves dry up, you can replace them with fresh ones and put them in the plastic bag. Of course, the freshness time cannot be too long.

Method 3: Buy coriander with roots, preferably thick ones, use a cup with half a cup of water, soak the coriander roots in the water, and place it in a cool place. Not only will it not rot, but it may also grow new leaves.

Method 4: Cut off the roots of the coriander, remove the rotten and yellow leaves, spread them out to dry for a day or two, then braid them into a long braid as thick as a sausage, and hang them in a cool and ventilated place to dry. Or choose coriander with roots, remove the yellow leaves, wash them, and hang the corianders one by one on a thin nylon rope (preferably not hemp rope) in a ventilated place to dry, then remove the coriander and store it in a container. When eating, soak the coriander in warm water for a while, and the coriander will remain green and not yellow, and it will taste the same as before.
