Physical examination

Palpation: During the examination, the patient stands and lets the scrotum hang down, and inhales to squeeze the lower abdomen. The doctor will also directly squeeze the scrotum with his hands to examine the testicles and epididymis, and check whether there are abnormally enlarged veins. Routine semen examination: Since blood flows back into the scrotum, causing the scrotum and testicles to become congested, it directly increases the temperature in the scrotum and affects sperm production. The disease will directly affect the number and quality of sperm. The purpose of the test is to determine whether the disease affects sperm production.

Ultrasound examination

The degree of varicocele can be assessed. Since swelling in the affected area may also be caused by tumor, lymphadenitis, hernia or scrotal edema, the doctor will arrange other examinations if necessary to rule out the possibility of other diseases.

Blood Routine

Routine blood tests are mainly performed before surgical treatment. Blood is drawn for testing. If the patient has anemia or low platelets, or other abnormal phenomena, they need to be corrected first. Surgery can only be performed after the hand returns to normal.
