Most people think that men are emotional people. They have low ability to control themselves when they are sexually impulsive, and they are not careful in choosing their sexual partners. They like to go to hotels, bars and other places, and their sexual intercourse is more chaotic, making them more likely to contract sexually transmitted diseases. Once sexual intercourse is not safe, it will be contagious. Male genital warts are one of the more serious diseases. The warts caused by this disease are mostly condyloma acuminatum. So what diseases are easily confused with male genital warts? Genital warts can be easily confused with: 1. Villous labia minora, also known as pseudowarts, are common on the inner side of the labia minora, around the vaginal vestibule and urethral opening of young women. They are symmetrically and densely distributed small white or pink papules with a diameter of 1 to 2 mm. The surface is smooth, and some may be villous, roe-like or polyp-like. There are no obvious spontaneous symptoms, and occasional itching. The acetic acid white test is negative. 2. Pearly penile papules The rash is located at the edge of the coronal sulcus of the glans penis. Pearly, conical or irregular white, yellowish-white or skin-colored papules can be seen. They may be translucent, smooth in surface, hard in texture, and the papules do not fuse with each other. They are regularly arranged in one to several rows along the coronal sulcus. The acetic acid white test is negative. 3. Sebaceous gland ectopy: Millet-sized, isolated, slightly raised, yellow-white or light yellow papules in groups or patches can be seen on the glans penis, inside the foreskin or labia minora. There are no spontaneous symptoms. The histological characteristics are that each papule is composed of a group of small mature sebaceous gland lobules, which surround the sebaceous gland ducts. The acetic acid white test is negative. 4. Parafrenulum papular fibroma is a white or yellowish-white millet-sized papule that occurs symmetrically on both sides of the frenulum. It may be single or multiple, soft in texture, smooth in surface, and not fused together. It can be distinguished from condyloma acuminatum based on medical history and a negative acetic acid white test. 5. Glossy lichens are shiny polygonal or round flat-topped papules that occur on the penis shaft. They are the size of a pinpoint to a millet grain. They may be densely distributed but not fused with each other. Their pathological changes are characteristic. 6. Flat warts are secondary syphilis rashes, which are papules or plaques occurring in the genital area. The surface is flat and moist, and may also be granular or cauliflower-shaped. Treponema pallidum can be detected in dark field examination, and the syphilis serological reaction is positive. 7. Powenoid papulosis lesions are gray-brown or reddish-brown flat papules, most of which are multiple and round or irregular in shape. The surface of the papules may appear velvety or slightly keratinized and warty. In males, it is more common on the penis, scrotum and glans, and in females, it is more common on the labia minora and perianal area. There are generally no spontaneous symptoms, and histopathological examination is helpful for identification. 8. Syringomas appear as small, firm, skin-colored or brown papules with a diameter of several millimeters. They are multiple and usually asymptomatic. The diagnosis can be confirmed by histopathological examination. 9. Genital squamous cell carcinoma is more common in people over 40 years old. The lesions are lumps or plaques with obvious infiltration, hard texture, easy bleeding, and often form ulcers. The diagnosis can be confirmed by histopathological examination. What diseases are easily confused with male genital warts? The above diseases are easily confused with this disease. When diagnosing the disease, the patient can observe the symptoms of male genital warts and then recall whether he has an unclean sexual history. If so, he should doubt its nature and consider it to be venereal warts. The patient can go to the hospital for andrology and venereal disease examinations. The nature of the warts can be determined through the examination results. After the disease is confirmed, its treatment will be more accurate. After stopping the development of the disease, its infection can be avoided. |
