How to diagnose glansitis?

Penile glans inflammation is a common disease among men. It is very harmful to men. However, many men do not pay much attention to their health. Sometimes they do not know that they have penile glans inflammation. If they have sex at this time, it will seriously threaten the health of women and cause them to suffer from the disease. So, how to diagnose penile glans inflammation? Let's take a look!

Acute superficial balanitis

The affected area will have erythema, swelling, fever, ulceration, exudation, and in severe cases, blisters and pustules may appear. The patient will feel burning and pain. In severe cases, the patient will have fever, general weakness and other discomforts. If the inflammation does not heal for a long time, the glans penis and foreskin will adhere to form secondary phimosis, and even lead to stenosis of the external urethral opening.

Candidal balanitis

It can be a direct infection of the glans penis or foreskin by Candida, or it can be a secondary infection of Candida after diabetes or long-term use of antibiotics or corticosteroids. At the same time, the spouses of patients often suffer from Candida vaginitis. Red spots, red rashes or small blisters appear on the affected area, followed by patches of eroded surfaces with white, cheese-like secretions attached to the eroded surfaces. The secretions are easily peeled off, and after peeling off, red eroded surfaces with some small bleeding spots can be seen.

Cytoplasmic balanoposthitis

Most patients are middle-aged or elderly men, with localized infiltrative dark red plaques on the glans penis, with a smooth surface and desquamation.

Keratotic pseudoepitheliomatous glans balanoposthitis

The affected area does not have an obvious bruised surface like the previous types, but instead becomes hypertrophic and desquamated. The elasticity of the affected area decreases and atrophy occurs over time. The patient does not feel any pain.

Good hygiene habits - washing the penis and foreskin thoroughly every day can play a good preventive role, and avoid all kinds of stimulation. If inflammation occurs, it should be treated promptly, and do not delay treatment because of shyness.

If you don't know whether you have balanitis, it will seriously affect your health and also be harmful to your partner. How to diagnose balanitis? The above article has introduced the method. If you are not sure, but you are still worried, then go to the hospital for a check-up!
