2. Semen volume. If the semen volume reaches 3-5 ml on the 6th day after no semen was ejaculated within 5 days, and is usually not less than 1.5 ml, it is considered normal semen volume; otherwise, it can be regarded as a decrease in semen volume.

3. Acidity and alkalinity. Normal fresh semen is slightly alkaline, with a pH value between 7.2 and 8.9, and an average of 7.8. When it is slightly acidic, the activity and metabolic rate of sperm will decrease, while when it is slightly alkaline, it will increase, and too alkaline will have the opposite effect. If fresh semen is left for a long time, it will acidify by itself, which will affect the activity of sperm. Therefore, when checking semen, it must be fresh semen, and it should not be kept for more than 1 hour.
