What does impotence mean?

What does impotence mean? In recent years, the word impotence has appeared more and more in people's eyes, ears, and even lives. As social competition becomes more and more fierce, the pressure on men is getting greater and greater. Coupled with some bad living habits, more and more men suffer from impotence. So what does impotence mean?

Impotence, also known as erectile dysfunction (ED in the international abbreviation), refers to the inability of the penis to erect or erection is not strong when there is sexual desire, or although there is an erection and a certain degree of hardness, it cannot maintain a sufficient time for sexual intercourse, thus hindering sexual intercourse or failing to complete sexual intercourse. Impotence is divided into congenital and pathological types. The former is rare and difficult to cure; the latter is more common and has a high cure rate.

Impotence is manifested by the inability of a male's penis to erect or to erect but not hard when he has sexual desire, and he cannot have sexual intercourse and has difficulty having sex. The inability of the penis to erect is called complete impotence, while the penis can erect but not have sufficient hardness for sexual intercourse is called incomplete impotence. The main symptoms of impotence are:

1. The penis cannot fully erect or the erection is not strong enough to allow for a satisfactory sexual intercourse.

2. Young people experience anxiety and impatience accompanied by impotence due to insufficient emotional communication with their sexual partners or inconsistent sexual behavior habits.

3. Impotence may occur occasionally, but it is completely normal during the next sexual intercourse. It may be caused by temporary tension or fatigue and is not pathological.

4. Although impotence occurs frequently, the penis can be erect and maintain an erection for a period of time in the early morning or during masturbation, which is mostly caused by psychological factors.

5. Impotence persists and progresses, which is mostly caused by organic diseases.

The above is the introduction to the question of what impotence means. Do you also have some understanding of this disease? From the above introduction, we can see that some impotence is very easy to cure, so male patients do not need to worry too much. Although congenital impotence is not easy to cure, it is definitely not impossible to cure. Patients still need to relax their minds and actively accept treatment.
