How to brew chrysanthemum tea, are you brewing chrysanthemum tea correctly?

We all know that chrysanthemum tea has the effects of dispersing wind and heat, clearing the liver and improving eyesight, and detoxifying and reducing inflammation. In daily life, we often drink chrysanthemum tea as a tea to clear heat. However, when brewing chrysanthemum tea by yourself, you must use the correct method, especially in China, where the tea culture has a long history. Brewing still needs to follow certain steps.

1: What is chrysanthemum tea?

1: Chrysanthemum tea is a herbal tea made from chrysanthemums. Chrysanthemum tea is made through the process of picking fresh flowers, drying in the shade, steaming in the sun, and baking. According to ancient books, chrysanthemums taste sweet and bitter, and are slightly cold in nature. They have the effects of dispersing wind and heat, clearing the liver and improving eyesight, and detoxifying and reducing inflammation. Chrysanthemum tea originated in the Tang Dynasty and was widely used in people's lives in the Qing Dynasty.

2: The flowering period of chrysanthemum is about 20 days. Generally, the flowers bloom in a concentrated manner in early November. They should be harvested in batches, and the best harvesting period is when the center of the flower (tubular flower) is 2/3 open. The fully open flowers not only lose their fragrance, but also easily disperse after processing, and the color is also poor. When harvesting, cut or cut the branches where the flowers are located from the branching point, tie them into small bundles to facilitate shade drying; or directly cut the flower heads. Process immediately. Processing methods include shade drying, sun drying, and oven drying.

2: How to make chrysanthemum tea?

1: First boil water in a small pot, add chrysanthemums and turn to low heat for about one minute before pouring the chrysanthemum tea into the teapot. When the tea color becomes darker, you can drink it. This method of brewing releases the most concentrated tea aroma. Good things come to those who eat them. The process of brewing chrysanthemum tea in this way is a little more complicated and may take a long time. Drinking good tea requires a certain amount of patience.

2: Place the chrysanthemum in a teapot or filter and pour boiling water directly into it. The chrysanthemum will quickly expand and emit fragrance. However, the disadvantage of this method is that the chrysanthemum will easily break into pieces, resulting in tea debris.

3: First put hot water in the teapot, then put the chrysanthemum in, and then fill it up with hot water. This method of brewing tea will be cleaner, but because the chrysanthemum expands slower than the previous two methods, the color of the tea will appear lighter.

4: Fill the teapot with hot water first, then put the chrysanthemums in to soak. This method can keep the shape of the flowers relatively intact, and the soaking time can be controlled by yourself. It is best to wait until the chrysanthemums are fully stretched before drinking, so that the tea aroma will be more concentrated.

Three: Chrysanthemum tea is what we often drink in summer

Tea, because chrysanthemum tea has the effect of clearing away heat and relieving fire. As a kind of scented tea, chrysanthemum tea is most commonly used for drinking. Although chrysanthemum tea is often drunk, I believe many people do not know the correct way to brew chrysanthemum tea.
