5. Erythema. Also known as proliferative erythema, the damage often occurs on the glans penis, urethral orifice, coronal sulcus, and foreskin. Most of the erythema is shiny and slightly raised on the surface, or velvety plaques; there are also hardened raised plaques, or papilloma-like appearance; there are also erosions, ruptured scabs, and then develop into scale changes.
