Will prostate calcification affect sexual function?

The male prostate is a very important male reproductive organ. It is not uncommon for prostatitis to occur due to lifestyle and other issues. Prostatitis can be divided into two types: subacute prostatitis and chronic prostatitis. It must be taken seriously, otherwise it will cause serious adverse effects. So, can a man with prostatitis have sex?

Does prostate calcification affect sexual life?

Yes, but not too much. Prostatitis is a systemic or partial acute inflammation caused by specific and non-specific infection of the male prostate. Prostatitis can be divided into non-specific bacterial infection prostatitis, prostate disease (refractory bacterial infection prostatitis), specific prostatitis (caused by chlamydia, tuberculosis, bacteria, sparganosis, etc.), non-specific granulomatous prostatitis, prostatitis caused by other pathogens (such as viral infection, chlamydia, mycoplasma, etc.), prostatitis and prostate pain.

According to the current medical history, prostatitis can be divided into two types: subacute prostatitis and chronic prostatitis.

Subacute prostatitis patients will experience systemic symptoms such as chills, fever, and fatigue. Some patients may experience a sense of pressure in the perineum or on the toes, radiating to the waist, lower abdomen, back, and thighs, and the pressure will intensify when sitting for a long time or defecating. If a small cyst is produced, the pain will increase and defecation will be impossible. Symptoms of the urethral opening include a burning sensation during urination, inability to hold urine, frequent and urgent urination, and may be accompanied by hematuria or purulent secretions from the urethral opening. Rectal symptoms include distended duodenum, urgency and a sense of defecation, and white secretions may be discharged from the urethral opening during defecation.

Chronic prostatitis can be divided into bacterial prostatitis and prostate disease. Chronic bacterial prostatitis is often caused by subacute prostatitis, and prostate disease is often caused by viral infection, urinary stones, chronic prostate hematoma, etc.
