Four signs of aging in men's private parts

Four signs of aging in men's private parts

Have you noticed that your penis is changing quietly? This is telling you that your private parts are slowly aging.

1. The appearance of the penis has changed

When men reach their forties, the glans penis gradually loses its purple-red color, mainly due to reduced blood circulation. As androgen levels drop, the pubic hair on the penis also becomes thinner and thinner, gradually returning to its pre-pubertal hairless state.

2. Size “shrinkage”

It is common for men to gain weight as they age. In some cases, abdominal fat can bury the penis. The length and thickness of the penis may also change slightly.

There are many reasons for penis shrinkage, such as the slow accumulation of fatty substances (plaques) in the small arteries of the penis, which will hinder the blood flow to the tissues and organs. This is the same process as the well-known atherosclerosis in which fat blocks the coronary arteries and causes heart attacks. At the same time, the continuous deposition of inelastic protein in the elastic fiber sheath will also make the space for blood perfusion during erection relatively smaller.

3. The penis is more curved

If scarring is uneven, the penis may become more and more curved, a condition called Peyronie's disease, which is most common in middle-aged men. It can cause pain during erections and difficulty with sexual intercourse, so patients should actively seek medical attention.

Peyronie's disease can be mild, moderate or severe, and symptoms may develop gradually or overnight.

Common symptoms of Peyronie's disease include:

1. Hard plaques on the penis that may be painless

2. Penile curvature: A lump on the upper side of the penis will cause the penis to bend upward (this is the more common situation), while a lump on the lower side of the penis will cause the penis to bend downward.

3. Some patients may have lumps on both the upper and lower sides of the penis, causing the penis to shorten and deform.

4. Feeling uncomfortable or painful when the penis is erect.

5. Erectile dysfunction.

4. Penis insensitivity

Many studies have shown that over time, the sensitivity of the penis decreases, which can affect erections and delay orgasm.

Although these changes are inevitable, they will not seriously affect sex, because an important component of a satisfying sex life is a sexual partner who can satisfy you, not an organ.
