Prostatic hyperplasia is also known as prostatic hyperplasia. The symptoms are specifically manifested in two groups, one is bladder irritation symptoms; the other is obstruction symptoms caused by the hyperplastic male prostate blocking the urethra. Bladder irritation symptoms: frequent urination, urgency, inability to hold urine, frequent urination and urgency urinary incontinence. Frequent urination and urgency are the early data signals of prostatic hyperplasia, especially at night when the frequency of urination increases and has more clinical manifestations. This disease has three key features: enlarged prostate volume; blocked bladder entrance and exit; lower urinary tract symptoms such as difficulty urinating, frequent urination, and inability to hold urine. If you find symptoms, it is recommended to go to the hospital for examination and treatment immediately to prevent delaying the disease and affecting your physical and mental health. Causes of prostate hypertrophy 1. First of all, prostatitis has not been completely cured, or urethritis, cystitis, seminal vesicle inflammation, etc., which causes the male prostate tissue to become swollen and hypertrophic. 2. Excessive sexual intercourse and masturbation can cause blood swelling in the reproductive organs. Long-term blood accumulation in the male prostate tissue can also cause prostate hyperplasia and hypertrophy. 3. In addition, frequent drinking or long-term drinking, eating spicy food and other irritating foods can stimulate prostate hyperplasia. 4. Lack of physical exercise can cause hardening of the aorta and poor blood circulation in the prostate area, which can also lead to this disease. 5. An unhappy state of mind will cause qi stagnation and blood stasis in the liver, obstruction of the meridians, and blood accumulation in the body, which will cause obstruction in the male prostate's circulatory system and lead to hyperplasia. 6. Holding urine for too long and drinking less water every day will reduce urine extraction and urination frequency, causing accumulation of urea toxins. The harmful substances in the urine will damage the male prostate. 7. Unscientific balanced diet and unhealthy diet structure are also key factors causing prostate disease. 8. Prostatic hyperplasia in the elderly is mostly due to the decline of physical functions and hormonal imbalance, which belongs to the "kidney deficiency" level in traditional Chinese medicine. Prostate hyperplasia and hypertrophy damage Prostatic hyperplasia is a condition in which the body, under the influence of factors such as estrogen imbalance, causes the gradual proliferation of the glandular connective tissue and smooth muscle tissue in the middle or inverted lobe under the posterior urethral mucosa, resulting in multiple spherical masses, causing a series of neurological disorders in the urethral orifice, bladder and kidney functions. In the early stage of the disease, the main symptom is increased urination frequency, ranging from 2 to 3 times at night to 5 to 6 times at night, and increased urination time. With the further hyperplasia of the male prostate, the obstruction of urine becomes more severe, and the urine flow becomes thin, so that urine is retained in the bladder and cannot be discharged. Over time, the bladder's ability to repay gradually decreases and becomes ineffective. If at this time, drinking, fatigue, and climate problems will cause further hemorrhage and edema of the male prostate, aggravating the obstruction symptoms, and then causing water retention in the urethra, kidney dysfunction, and coma and other uremic symptoms, which seriously endanger life. Prostatic hyperplasia itself does not pose a risk factor, but it does cause three key types of harm. First, if your bladder never empties safely, the accumulated urine can become infected (see cystitis in men). Second, when the flow of urine is blocked, the pressure inside the bladder increases, and the kidney function and urethra (the pipe that carries urine from the kidneys to the bladder) will be affected. This can cause kidney infection (see acute pyelonephritis). Eventually, if you develop a more severe, untreated prostate enlargement, your bladder muscles may not be able to break free of the frictional resistance that blocks the flow of urine and may suddenly or slowly cease functioning. |
