Male sperm is not produced immediately, but there is a whole process. Therefore, men should not have sex too frequently, which will lead to insufficient semen in men, thus affecting their reproductive function. So what is the whole process of male sperm production? How is male sperm produced? Let's take a detailed look at the whole process of male sperm production.

The whole process of sperm production in men

Male sperm is a perfect male somatic cell. Their growth and development begins with immature spermatogonia. Spermatogonia break down several times and expand in volume to become spermatocytes, which break down again to become spermatids, and eventually grow and develop into perfect male sperm, namely: somatic cell-spermatocyte-spermatocyte-male sperm.

After the male sperm is mature, it falls into the lumen of the seminiferous tubules and slowly migrates to the epididymal cyst. Some of it is stored here, and the vast majority of it migrates to the ejaculatory duct and the peritoneal cavity for storage until the male ejaculates and is discharged.

During the whole process of sperm production, a suitable and relatively stable natural environment is required, and temperature is a key criterion for the transformation of male sperm. This suitable and relatively stable working temperature is adjusted by the expansion and contraction of the scrotum. When the external temperature rises, the scrotum expands the heat dissipation area to reduce the temperature; on the contrary, when the external temperature decreases, the scrotum becomes smaller to insulate and keep warm. Based on this buffering effect, the temperature inside the scrotum is maintained 1.5-2.0℃ lower than the abdomen.

Human sperm formation is a continuous process, with sperm being transformed all the time. In other words, the body has perfect sperm at all times, which is obviously different from the fact that women only have one perfect egg cell every month.

One gram of testicular tissue in an adult produces about 10 million sperms a day. The testicles on both sides weigh about 30 to 40 grams, so the number of sperm produced every day reaches hundreds of millions.

How to test sperm quality

Self-test. Often rely on special tools to test your own sperm.

1. Color: Normal semen is dark gray or milky white. Light yellow is common in older men with long intervals between ejaculations. Reddish brown is common in seminal vesiculitis, seminal vesiculoma, prostate inflammation, and sometimes urethral stones. Smell: A unique smell similar to carob or chestnut flowers.

2. Vaporization: The semen just ejaculated is thick and jelly-like, and vaporizes after about 3-30 minutes, becoming a thinner liquid. Sperm that does not coagulate is common in congenital bilateral ejaculatory duct defects, accompanied by seminal vesicle defects. Sperm that does not vaporize for more than 30 minutes is common in male patients with prostate and seminal vesicle diseases. Increased semen viscosity is common in male prostate oxidase system metabolic disorders.

3. Sperm density: Normal 2-6ml, average volume is 3ml, less than 1ml or more than 8ml are abnormal. Low fluid volume is common in male prostate and seminal vesicle diseases or retrograde ejaculation. pH acidity: Normal pH is 7.0-7.8. When the semen is acidic, the activity and metabolism of male sperm decrease. When the semen is alkaline, the sperm motility increases, but it decreases when the alkalinity is too strong. Male friends with poor sperm quality should go to a reliable male specialist hospital for physical examination. Pathogen infection is also a key factor in male infertility. You should often go to the doctor to receive corresponding examinations for mycoplasma and prostate.
