It is an abnormal phenomenon to feel a pulse under the testicles, because the pulse cannot be felt under normal testicles because the testicular artery is in a special position and will not be touched. However, if this happens and is accompanied by other symptoms, such as swelling, pain, etc., then it is recommended that men go to the hospital for a check-up and do a scrotal color Doppler ultrasound to rule out lesions.

The testicular artery is usually located deep in the groin and you cannot feel its pulsation. It cannot be felt on the surface of the testicle. If you feel the pulsation in the groin, it is the pulsation of the femoral artery, which is from the bifurcation of the aorta and common iliac arteries to the external iliac artery and femoral artery.

Then you can feel the pulsation of the femoral artery in the groin extending to the thigh and calf, but you cannot feel it on the surface of the testicle. If you feel pulsation or other similar pulsation on the surface of the testicle, it means there is abscess or pus in the testicle.

1. Testicular self-examination:

Stand up and examine the testicles with the scrotum relaxed. Normal testicles are oval, smooth, and of medium hardness. However, patients with orchitis can feel lumps or abnormalities. The scrotum of most patients is bluish purple. There is tenderness when touched.

2. Blood test:

Tumors and orchitis are mainly differentiated by measuring the value of human chorionic gonadotropin.

3. Testicular puncture biopsy:

Some patients need a testicular biopsy to fully diagnose the condition. However, testicular tumors are easily confused with orchitis. If it is a malignant tumor, a puncture biopsy may spread cancer cells.

(IV) B-ultrasound examination:

It is suitable for patients other than those with occult testicular disease. Through X-ray irradiation, the size of the testicles, the presence of tumors, and external features can be detected.
