What causes urinary tract infection in men

Urinary tract infection is a problem that many people have, especially for women. Of course, it is not ruled out that some men may have urinary tract infection for some reasons. After a urinary tract infection occurs, it must be treated in time. After treatment, in order to prevent the urethra from being infected again, the patient must do a good job of nursing. Before preventing urinary tract infection, you need to understand the cause first. Here are the common causes of male urinary tract infection!

1. Bad living habits

If men do not pay attention to this problem, it will also lead to urethritis, such as staying up late for a long time, drinking, smoking, and often eating a lot of spicy and irritating food. This will lead to a decrease in the body's resistance, allowing latent pathogenic bacteria to invade and multiply, causing men to suffer from urethritis.

2. Unclean Sexual Life

It mainly refers to the invasion of pathogenic microorganisms into the urethra. These microorganisms are mainly gonococci, non-gonococci, mycoplasmas, chlamydia, Candida albicans, Trichomonas and some bacteria that are resident in the human body. They invade the urethra and the surrounding glands, causing urethritis, prostatitis, seminal vesiculitis, epididymitis and other symptoms.

3. Urinary system diseases

If urinary diseases are not treated in time, urethritis will occur. Common cases are prostatitis, cystitis, seminal vesiculitis and other inflammations. Cross-infection between inflammations will reduce the body's immunity and induce male urethritis.

4. Drinking too little water

Drink plenty of water, maintain more than 3000cc of water per day; empty the bladder at least once every 3 to 4 hours; avoid irritating foods, alcohol or coffee; consume more fruits containing vitamin C, such as orange, lemon and plum juice to keep urine acidic; it is also recommended to take a shower.

5. Mechanical or chemical stimulation

For example, urethral instrument examination and indwelling catheter may cause inflammatory damage to the urethral mucosa; or edema and hyperplasia may not have recovered, causing local nerve damage, thus leading to the occurrence of urethritis.

Many men suffer from urethritis due to bad living habits or unclean sex life. Therefore, men should pay attention to their daily hygiene to avoid infection with inflammation, which will affect their life and work.
