Edema may occur shortly after circumcision, which may be due to the following reasons:

1. The surgery cut off some of the superficial venous vessels, resulting in poor venous return. The postoperative dressing was too tight, resulting in poor local return.

2. The foreskin itself has a narrow ring, and the narrow area has not been completely cut open. After the operation, the narrow ring still exists, resulting in obstructed venous return.

Generally speaking, poor lymphatic drainage can lead to lymph node edema, and poor venous drainage can lead to foreskin edema.
