Teratozoospermia is a common disease that can cause male infertility problems. Although the probability of teratozoospermia is not high, the impact on men is still relatively large. Of course, when teratozoospermia occurs, you can go to the hospital for examination in time. If it is weak teratozoospermia, it can be treated by certain methods. Below, I will introduce you to the relevant knowledge of teratozoospermia! 1. Overview Teratozoospermia is when the sperm with normal morphology is less than 50%, that is, more than 50% of the sperm in semen are abnormal. The so-called abnormal sperm is the sperm with poor development. Teratozoospermia refers to one of the common causes of male infertility in men of childbearing age. In clinical practice, teratozoospermia often coexists with oligospermia and asthenospermia. If the three coexist, we call it oligoasthenospermia and teratozoospermia. 2. Inspection Methods 1. Physical examination: There are usually no obvious abnormal signs. Patients with varicocele may have local swelling or tenderness, and those with prostatitis may have tenderness and nodules. 2. Physical and chemical examination: The number of sperm abnormalities under the microscope exceeds the normal value by more than 20%. 3. Diagnostic points: Anyone who passes a routine semen examination (fully automatic computer analyzer) and finds that the number of abnormal sperm under the microscope exceeds 20% can be diagnosed with teratospermia (or teratospermia). 3. Disease Hazards The fertilization ability of sperm is closely related to the normal morphological structure of sperm. The more sperm with normal morphological structure, the stronger the fertility. A study conducted a total of 190 evaluations on 129 people, proving the relationship between normal morphological structure of sperm and fertilization: 1%~4% normal morphological structure sperm group, 104 eggs tested, fertilization rate 37%. 15%~30% normal morphological spermatozoa, 324 eggs tested, fertilization rate 81%. 31%~45% normal morphological spermatozoa, 309 eggs tested, fertilization rate 82%. 46%~60% normal morphological structure spermatozoa, 64 eggs tested, fertilization rate 91%. The corresponding conclusion is that the more abnormal sperm there are, the lower the fertilization rate. It should be pointed out that there are also a certain amount of abnormal sperm in the semen of normal people, but it will not exceed 20%~40%. If the normal shape is less than 30%, it is called teratozoospermia (wH0), which can seriously affect the quality of semen, fertilization ability and fertility, and can lead to male infertility. Therefore, the detection of abnormal sperm is very important in the diagnosis of male infertility. |
